Le Macaron French Pastries - Avenues Mall — Restaurant in Jacksonville

My family and I took a day trip from Sumter, SC to Jacksonville, FL. We decided to hit Avenue Mall and found Le Macaron. I bake Macaron's so I'm partial to my own product but was looking forward to the variety. I can only bake one dedicated batch at a time. Upon arrival, the ambiance jumped out at me, the color hot pink was everywhere and the upscale furnishings and chandelier's established high expectations for the Macaron's. The price was reasonable. I purchased 6 for around $18. The Macaron's were softer than expected and the flavors were not pronounced. Most of the ones I purchased had a very thin layer of filling. My two star reduction truly stems for the lack luster packaging. They apparently ran out of signature six count boxes and packaged my order in, craft store, plastic desert bags with twist ties. I commented on the packaging not being what I expected. She politely offered to give me a, craft store, white box, but I declined. I'm glad I didn't make the drive just for the Macaron's. I really wanted to give a shout-out to a gentleman, named Reyshaune, who assisted my party of 7 at this location recently. We arrived close to the closing time and he was beyond helpful and very informative about the desserts available. He was the perfect example of what exceptional customer service should be like. Based on his personality it seemed as though that is how he is all the time which is fantastic. I honestly thought he was the manager based on how passionate he was about everything so to find out that he wasn't was shocking. He truly takes pride in what he does and genuinely wants happy customers. I am an Orlando Foodie Influencer and I can tell you that I don't always see this level of service unless a business knows who I am and that I would be posting about them, but he did not. I was a little uneasy going in at 1st, just not my place. I pointed it out to my girlfriend. She absolutely had to go in and check it out. There was only one lady working, pretty sure she was the manager. Can not remember her name... anyways, wow!!! What an amazing individual, to the point, prompt, professional, kind, smiles, communication was on point. My GF bought a lot of stuff for gifts, for her co-workers. She even could not make up her mind... multiple times, I was getting impatient.. lol. The manager/employee had endless patience with her. She was able to delegate other sales with other customers as she was dealing with my GF. I highly highly recommend this place.
