This Starbucks location is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. I would have given a rating of 'ZERO', if available. To start with, I am not a local, and I happen to have a European accent. 😅 I walked in today shortly after 8 in the morning and asked if they could make a grande iced cappuccino (ice in a plastic cup, two shots of expresso, a little milk, topped with cold milk froth). The older employee and the woman who appeared to be the manager told me in the rudest of manners that it's no longer on the menu. All it takes is a slight modification to an iced latte, which has too much milk. Lol 🤣 A customer behind me was so in shock to hear the answer from the two employees that she stopped me and asked if I was ok. She shook her head in disbelief with what she had just witnessed. Whether I am in Dubai, Abu-Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and other cities in the US, not once had I been told the drink couldn't be made. Absolutely appalling. Obviously, I walked out and couldn't care less about ordering any food there. Just a few metres away, there's an amazing Feench Cafe, Le Petit Paris, that serves divine food and is more reasonable than the overpriced Starbucks. You're...
Read moreI recently had an experience at Starbucks that left me feeling uncomfortable, and I’d like to bring it to attention.
I’ve been a loyal customer for years. The other day, I stopped by in the morning and ordered a coffee. Later in the afternoon, I returned and politely asked for a cup of ice for my morning coffee. A staff member informed me that they had changed their policy and could no longer provide a free cup of ice or water unless I made a purchase. Understanding the new rule, I ordered a cheese Danish, and only then was I given a free cup of ice.
However, today, a friend of mine—a white American—visited the same location and asked for a cup of ice. To my surprise, they provided it without any mention of a purchase requirement. This inconsistency in policy enforcement is concerning.
I would like to understand whether this was an oversight or if there is a deeper issue at play. Policies should be applied fairly to all customers, regardless of race or background.
I hope Starbucks can clarify this matter and ensure that all customers receive equal and...
Read moreProbably the cleanest Starbucks in town, despite being extremely busy. Cashier was very friendly and answers questions about items to customers without rushing. Baristas focused too much on the drive thru and barely acknowledged the inside customers. When I said "Thank you" as Barista was passing me my beverage they just responded "mmm hmm". I know there is a lot of customers who are more complex with their orders, but I had order just a blonde flat with soy milk. So I believe there should be no excuse to not get a "You're welcome" response (complicated customer or not). If you don't mind feeling unappreciated after paying $10 for a coffee and pumpkin bread when Dunkin Donuts is literally a view from the window (mmm.. a donut and frozen coffee does costs about $3.50) Then this is the right...
