Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Jefferson City

We placed our entire order and then the person waiting on us said "okay a turtle sundae. Is that all?" REALLY? So once again I said "NO! The rest of the order that I gave you included an order of ff and a STRAWBERRY malt. She GOT IT that time (or so I thought). I have no idea how the order was sent to the back to be prepared.🤔😬😱

We ended up with the FF being correct. 😂 The turtle sundae lacked the yummy PECANS that just makes the turtle sundae. 😥😕. The STRAWBERRY malt was delivered to us as a "Vanilla-Strawberry Malt"..... wth? NOT STRAWBERRY and that's just what it tasted like... Vanilla-strawberry! 😱😵😰😬 We eat at Freddy's EVERY SINGLE TIME I have a Dr appointment in Jeff City (usually twice a month). We normally both order a burger and ff, PLUS a turtle sundae and a drink. I think we've only had an order messed up once in OVER TWO YEARS. Today made up for all the times they got it right! It doesn't mean that we won't be back, however, because we love Freddy's! 🍔🍟🍧😊. Obviously the two girls need a little more training. For sure the girl that took the order needs to begin with LISTENING to what the customer orders and then she might get it right the first time....

Burgers are unique in that they are pressed thin and fried crispy. This gives them an interesting flavor, but leaves them devoid of all moisture. Toppings are no frills. The basic double burger is just onion, pickles and mustard. I need to try it again with some sauce element on it. Good flavor but hard to swallow.

The fries were excellent. Extremely thin shoe string style fries. It was obvious they were cooked fresh and maintained their crisp until the last one.

I don't think the ice cream met the hype. A single cone was pricey, small, and was handed to me melting down the sides. It reminded me of Dairy Queen ice cream.

I'd go back, but would need to try other burger options that could lead to...

Ok so I don't normally do reviews or anything, but I ordered online and I got a California burger and cheese curds. The burger was good let's get that out of the way ok?

But those cheese curds. Oh my god those cheese curds. They were so warm (even hot) and they were so fresh. They were perfectly breaded and tasted so good. I rarely get cheesy products as sides because I prefer potato products like fries, but I will legit will now only order cheese curds from Freddy's because they are legit better than any mozzarella sticks or cheese curds that I have ever had. It's pricey for door dash but...
