Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Jeffersontown

One of the things I like about Jimmy John's is that they know what they're good at and they to it well. Soups? Nah. Salads? Nah. Sandwiches? OH YEA!

They've got a great selection of sandwiches but years ago I discovered #5 (The Vito) and it's been my go-to ever since.

In the 5+ years we've lived in J-Town I've been to this location dozens of times. When I've eaten in the store has been clean and well-maintained. Even in the throes of a lunch rush they manage to keep things looking tidy. And when it comes to food preparation? Freaky Fast is no joke. They are just that.

The personnel here are always friendly and helpful. Even when COVID jacked up everything on earth I'd visit this location to pick up an order and everything was 100% in order.

I've use the Jimmy John's app a number of times and while nearly every fast food chain now has an app, Jimmy John's is actually pretty user-friendly and doesn't bury you in sub-menus. High-Five for that! It saves me time and gets me in/out of the door quickly.

I'm glad this Jimmy John's is the one that's closest to my house. I've never had a problem with an order and each experience with this location...

First review I have ever done on anything. I feel old and grumpy. Anyway, I ordered a sub with no lettuce and tomatoes. I noticed when they were making it they had mistakenly put lettuce and tomatoes on it. No big deal. Told them about it and the guy seemed frustrated at me. He said "it just says no mayo" like I wrote it down wrong. So he started to make another sandwich and I noticed he just took the meat off the wrong one and put it on new bread. Now, I know I'm picky (hate that about me) but the meat still had a ton of lettuce stuck to it. I said "man I'm sorry but I really don't like lettuce. I need a sandwich with no lettuce on it." He looked frustrated and said "fine, I'll make you whole new sandwich." I laughed and said "you know what man don't worry about it. For some reason you don't want to make my sandwich. Why don't you go ahead and refund me." He said "well I have to do that too." I went on to tell him that I knew he didn't want to do anything, make a sandwich or refund me, but he has to do one so let's just go with the refund.

Be aware. They are really partial about their lettuce. If you don't like it they don't...

I want to tell you about this Jimmy John's. I have never been here. But...I have a friend who lives in this area. I live in Upper Michigan. My friend's spouse passed away recently leaving her a widow and her young children fatherless. We were unable to be there immediately to help them. But one thing we know about grief is that people lose their appetites. However, kids do not. The best we felt we could do is provide a meal. I called this JJ after calling a few places who would not accommodate such a request. Warren, the manager was beyond accommodating. Not only did he immediately say, "yes! We can order a gift card over the phone." A week or later, he followed up with a phone call to say that this new widow, full of grief had not yet picked up the gift certificate yet but that he was more than willing to take it to her...on his own time. This went more than above and beyond company gratitude to show human compassion and we could not be more in awe of the staff of this Jimmy John's. Thank...
