I usually love the food at IHOP, but I usually go for breakfast about 11:00 a.m. or so. The breakfast food is usually really good. But, since IHOP is open 24 hours my son and I were up really late into the early morning, and decided to go to IHOP. There wasn't a whole lot of people in the restaurant, so we were seated right away. Our waitress was very pleasant and nice. She took our drink order, and brought them to us pretty quickly. We then ordered our food. My son ordered chicken tenders fries and coffee. I ordered sliced turkey breast with turkey gravy and it came with two sides. I asked for mashed potatoes and she told me they were out. So, I ordered the broccoli and a side salad. When we received our food the plates were ice cold, which made our food not very hot. My turkey looked like scraps that should have been thrown away. There was no gravy on the turkey and very little broccoli. I had to remind her that I ordered a side salad. I asked her about the turkey gravy and she told me they were out. I did try a piece of the thin dry turkey and it was not good at all. I told the waitress if I knew there was no turkey gravy I would not have ordered this. She told me I could purchase another meal. I asked her if I could see a manager because the turkey was not good to eat. I explained everything to the manager, and he did bring me a menu to choose another meal. The salad was okay and the broccoli was good if it was a little warmer. My son's chicken tenders were cooked okay, but the choice of meat was horrible. It had all kind of fat and gristle inside of the tenders. The fries did come out hot, but because of the cold plates they were cold very quickly. His first cup of coffee was barely warm and tasted like it had been sitting a while. She brought him another cup of coffee and again barely warm, but it tasted a little better. I ended up ordering Salisbury steak with mushrooms and onions. The Salisbury steak was just a hamburger patty, but the gravy was really good. I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, so they were okay. But some of the onions tasted kind of sour and not very good. There was a table of four young people sitting behind us. I could hear one of the girls complaining about her food. I heard her tell the waitress that she works in a restaurant and this is very unsatisfactory. I did not have to pay for the turkey, and the manager was very good about exchanging the meal. I will return to IHOP for breakfast, but I will not choose their lunch or...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. My family of four came in around 10 pm and got seated immediately. The place was not overly crowded but several tables had not been bussed. That should have been my first indication of how our experience was gonna go. Took the waitress about 10 minutes to come take our drink order. Then another 10 minutes to actually get our drinks. She took our order which was two sandwiches and a cup of potato soup. And that was the last time we saw our waitress for about 45 minutes. No drink refills, nothing. The people in the booth in front of us actually got their food about 15 minutes before us even though they were seated after us. Then when our food finally did come the only thing brought out were the sandwiches and fries which were cold but on a warm plate where they tried to microwave them. But No potato soup. The waitress said she would go check on the soup and never came back. So after about 10 minutes of my daughter sitting there with no food I walk up to the counter to who I thought was the manager to ask about the soup. She apologizes and said she will go back and get it. Well she comes back out to tell us that they are out of potato soup. WHAT??? !! They couldnt tell us that 45 minutes before when we placed our order. Or soon thereafter. So at this point my daughter decides against ordering anything else and I ask the lady if she is the manager. She said no and that the manager is in the back cooking! I said I want to speak to him. And here again it takes another 10 to 15 minutes for the manager to come out to say he will make an adjustment on the bill. I said that I will not be paying for any of it. He said thats fine, half heartedly apologized and walked away. But not before he was stopped by the table in front of us to hear a complaint about the food. This place is a joke. It is obviously poorly managed and the attitude of the staff is pitiful. I would steer clear of this place at all costs. I know I will...
Read moreIn the past, we have had bad experiences at this IHOP. Last night we decided to give them a shot because I saw other recent reviews about people having good service, and the last time we tried eating there was over a year ago. We got there at about 6pm and it was not busy. We were seated pretty quickly and brought drinks. A nice server came to take our order. Then we waited. And waited. And waited.. we sat for an HOUR after ordering with no food. No one checked on us and we couldn’t see any employees when we stood up and looked around. It really didn’t seem too busy. Tons of open tables. We began talking about just going somewhere else and started getting up when someone brought us our food at that same moment. We told them we were unhappy about it taking so long and he apologized. We sat back down since the food was there and we had hungry kids with us. The food was lukewarm and the plates were hot, which tells me it was all sitting under a heat lamp for a while. The cheese on top of my food was melted but warm and starting to harden. So gross. I didn’t even take a bite of it. We again started getting up and were approached by the guy who brought us the food. He apologized profusely and said something happened in the kitchen. I asked why they couldn’t be more transparent with us.. we could’ve left a long time ago and gotten food elsewhere. He seemed stress but was very nice so I felt a little bad for him. Not sure what was going on last night but we won’t try to eat there again. The guy offered to give us multiple free meals for future dates but we declined. Too many chances given and not one of them has been a good experience! It’s too bad because there aren’t any other IHOP’s nearby to...
