I have been here quite a few times through the years, but writing this review had made me realize that (I'm pretty sure) I've only ever purchased their ice cream, haha. I have got to make it a point to try out one of their famous crepes on my next visit! They all look really delicious, so I'm not sure why I haven't tried any of them yet, honestly. 😅 Angel's Recipe makes great quality home made Ice cream. They always provide a good variety of delicious flavors that are all freshly made and have a great creamy texture to them. I really love their freshly handrolled options! There are a bunch of interesting flavor combinations to choose from that come with different toppings for each, and they're always presented / decorated in a fun way. A couple of my favorites are Moonlight Sonata & Matcha Libre.

This is one of the true gems of Central Avenue! Angel's Recipe Ice Cream & Crepes have been a joy since they have landed in the Jersey City Heights Area. From great service from a friendly staff to great prices this place has me coming back for more (salivating just thinking about it.) If their are any ideas for new crepes or menu items the staff is willing to work with you. My favorite current menu item is the Smore Crepe and then NY Cheesecake Crepe (or the Smore Cheescapone) . Great with a coffee or a glass/cup of milk. Ice creams are De-licous And so much variety. Hope to keep coming back to the place. Wish they had on-site parking but I have always found something nearby. Seriously A+ Service, +A Food, A+ Pricing and an +A for Service.

The consistency of the ice cream at Angel's is more icy and less creamy than I'm used to. It was closer to Italian ice or sorbet. I got the French toast with pocky, the panda cookie and a toasted marshmallow on top. The toasted marshmallow honestly saved this dessert. The flavor of the ice cream itself was nothing special and the toasted marshmallow is the only thing that added any interest taste-wise. Every bite I took without some of the marshmallow was a disappointment. Were it not for the toasted marshmallow, I probably would have had throw it away-- which I don't do.

I come here fairly regularly and have never been disappointed with the food! The crepes are to die for, and the ice cream is amazing too (and they have gluten free options!). It’s pricey but you get a lot for the price...Plus it’s totally worth it.

The service is hit or miss. The food always comes out tasting and looking amazing but the service at the counter is sometimes lackluster. But I don’t go there for the service I keep coming back for the crepes and ice cream!

The location is just ok. This place would be insanely busy and probably not even possible to get into during busy times if it was somewhere along the waterfront or downtown. So I won’t complain, because there’s almost never a line to order. I...
