THE PAINFUL ENCOUNTER AT CAVA REMAINS REGRETTABLE AND TRAUMATIZED EXPERIENCE.
It's unfortunate to express that my experience with the employees at Cava Jerseys City was disheartening, most impolite and rude. During my visit around 9 pm, I ordered two bowls. However, upon receiving my order and noticing that the portion size was significantly smaller (about a quarter of the bowl filled), I politely inquired if this was the standard portion, as I'm used to receiving larger portions at the NYC location.
Unfortunately, the person attending to me unleashed a torrent of anger and rudeness. With a forceful demeanor, he added more food to the bowl while callously stating that it should be enough for you. He even went on to assert that they were well aware of their portion sizes and used the excuse of a supposedly long line to pressure me into accepting it, despite there being just one person waiting behind me.The presence of another employee who laughed during this exchange only added to the discomfort.
Feeling uncomfortable with the situation and rude behavior of the person. I decided to return the food and request a refund. I firmly believe that no one should have to experience such negativity while enjoying their meal.

I ordered through their app. I go there and I'm told that I have to order again, because their system is down. I opened their app and also showed them my bank mobile app, and both showed that I paid. I had to pay again, and now my only way to get my money back is to call them. Calling to get my money back to me is passive, only because I witnessed this happening on another occasion. I need to clarify that the managers at the store are not at fault because they were told to do what another manager told them to do on the phone. This is an unacceptable behavior from a big chain like Cava. If your system is down and the customer shows you your own app and goes out of their way to show you their bank statement, the least you can do is give them the food they already paid for and not charge them again.
