I recently had a disappointing experience at a restaurant, and I would like to share my review based on my encounter. My party consisted of six adults and two children, and when we arrived, we requested seating for our group. Initially, the staff informed us that it would be possible to accommodate our party size. However, upon arrival at our table, we were told that the restaurant's maximum capacity for a party was six people.
Naturally, I was taken aback by this inconsistency, so I inquired about where this policy was stated, hoping to find some clarity. To my surprise, the staff member simply reiterated that it was their policy without providing any further explanation. Feeling unsatisfied with this response, I asked to speak to the general manager in order to address the situation.
When the general manager arrived, I explained the situation to him and expressed my disappointment with the conflicting information we had received. I pointed out that there were two empty seats adjacent to our table and suggested that it would greatly benefit us if those seats could be added to our group. However, the general manager promptly declined my request, emphasizing the need to turn tables and generate more revenue.
I attempted to reason with the general manager, mentioning that those vacant seats would make a significant difference for us and our dining experience. Despite my pleas, he remained firm in his decision and even suggested that we split our party up if we wanted to be accommodated.
Overall, I must say that my experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. The lack of clear communication and the inflexibility in accommodating our party size were major letdowns. It is disheartening when a restaurant prioritizes turning tables over accommodating its customers, especially when there are available seats that could have made a significant difference to our dining experience.
I believe that a restaurant's success should not be solely measured by the number of tables turned, but rather by the satisfaction and loyalty of its customers. In this case, the restaurant fell short in providing a positive dining experience and failed to demonstrate a willingness to go the extra mile for...
Read moreIf I could give this place no stars I would. I’ve been going here for over 7 years. I’ve never experienced something like this before. Not sure if there is new management but this was a very unpleasant setting. I waited over an hour for a table of 2 which is normal considering how small the place is and they don’t take reservations. When my friend and I finished our food. We still had drinks that we were drinking as we were chatting like everyone else in the restaurant. A check was dropped when it wasn’t asked for along with 10 minutes later once the check was signed was asked to leave because other people were waiting. Meanwhile other people were in there who was in there before us when I put our name on the waiting list. Not only was my time devalued but the customer service was horrible. The waiter was very nice and attentive. However, the gentlemen who asked us to leave was bald. I will never return here after spent over hundreds of dollars in this establishment for years along with telling people to come here because of the food and customer service. This was very alarming and I would never return to this place ever again. Never have I ever been asked to leave somewhere because people where waiting while I still had either drinks or food still on the table. Along with never having a check dropped on my table before I asked for it. If that’s the case put a time limit on the tables to which there is none. I’ve worked at a restaurant who gave a limit for time seating because it was small and wanted to flip tables faster. They don’t have that here, at all. No sign of it anywhere because it’s not that time of place. Lastly, you can’t even sit at the bar with drinks because people are eating there and it’s small, so you have to wait outside.
This place needs to do better. So groups of two or more, make sure to keep this in mind when you are wanting to enjoy your experience...
Read moreThis place deserves five starts because of the food. However, the management, specifically a person by the name of Carlos, is subpar at best and that’s why my review is only two stars. I have been to taqueria on many occasions, and have never had a bad experience when dealing with others that work there. Today, we went to celebrate a birthday, we waited almost an hour to be seated. After being seated, at a table that was closest to the back door, the manager decided to open the back door. It had been closed the entire time we were waiting, I know this because I could see the door the entire time while we waited. We requested for the door to be closed since a very big draft was coming through and that’s when the manager ruined our birthday lunch. He came by and asked if we requested the door to be shut, we said yes and his response was “well, put your coat on because I’m not closing the door.” We responded that it hadn’t been open the entire time we were waiting and we did not want to be uncomfortable eating with our coats on, to which he replied “well, I’m not closing the door.” Subsequently, after the arrival of our food, the door was closed. However, less than an an hour and fifteen minutes after we were sitting, Carlos came by again to tell us that if we wanted to continue drinking we needed to go outside because he needed the table for others waiting. He didn’t approach anyone else that had been sitting as long as we were, not to mention, usually the time limit at any restaurant is two hours. This manager clearly needs a master course in hospitality and customer service. He is rude, disrespectful and lacks the temperament to be the manager of any establishment. The owner of this establishment should seriously reevaluate who they allow to be the face and representation of...
