Had a number of problems with the experience at Lotus Smiles:
First, when I went in for a cleaning I was offered a fluoride varnish. The front desk wasn't sure if this was covered by my insurance, so said they'd charge me and submit the claim to my insurance and see what happens. This was all fine, until I found out a month later that the claim was never submitted. After getting them to actually submit the claim, I was never told that the claim went through and that I was owed a refund. Lotus Smiles unilaterally decided to apply credit to my account, but given that my insurance covers the cost of cleanings I may have not seen this money for years. This felt pretty dishonest, and having to fight to get your money back isn't great.
The dental experience was alright. I was told that I needed many fillings done, so I thought I had a bunch of cavities, but I think they just wanted to replace all of my old silver fillings. There may have been a good medical reason for this, but I would've appreciated a more thorough explanation. As it stands, I'm not sure if there was really a medical reason to replace these fillings, or if they just wanted to do more fillings to get me to pay more, but I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt here.
The fillings themselves were problematic. One of them wasn't bonded properly and fell out while I was flossing a few months later, so I had to get it replaced. Several fillings also ended up connected to each other, so I had trouble flossing for a while. Floss wouldn't fit in between my teeth and would regularly break on the way out when I did manage to get it in.
I also had pain in my tooth for months after having the fillings put in. The dentist didn't really take it seriously when I went back, and simply tried multiple times to just file it down. After seeing another dentist for a second opinion, I found out that one of my fillings is actually so deep that it's getting close to the nerve. I was told that if the pain continued then I may need a root canal. He also pointed out that this tooth may need a crown in future due to the depth of the filling, and that replacing the silver filling without good reason would've been a poor decision. Again, I have no idea if there was a good reason because not much was explained to me.
Ironically, the pain in the tooth stopped after the aforementioned filling fell out so the pain may have been due to the loose filling.
All these failings make Lotus Smiles a 1 star for me. There's no reason for me to return here when other dentists make me feel more involved in the health...

Dr. Milan was exceptionaly thorough, showing me detailed X-RAY slides of my teeth with explanations. First time visit for me; I was referred to Lotus Smiles by a loyal and very enthusiastic long time client. The facility is immaculately clean! Felix Unger would be impressed! 5 star experience! Robert Wright, Jr., Ph.D., COFT
Second Visit: What else can I say besides the fact that Dr. Milman and his staff are beyond fabulous! Many of us have trepidation surrounding going to the dentist on any regular basis; even though we know we need to and have to - in my case, I went there due to a broken tooth on an Emergency basis. When I called, the staff was able to schedule me the same day. Dr. Milman put me at ease when he said "With today's technology, there's absolutely no reason that you should feel any type of pain. Should you feel pain at any point, please raise your left hand and I will stop; so that your pain can be immediately addressed." Wow! Double Wow! Triple Wow!
Third Visit: Ok, cutting to the chase - not only was Dr. Milman able to save my tooth - based upon the photos I saw of the situation, a regular dentist would have most likely pulled the broken tooth, however, Dr. Milman was able to save my broken tooth as well as provide me with a new crown all in the same day! How fabulous is that?! Typically, a temporary crown is put in place, and then you have to come back to have the permanent crown installed. All of this was completed within about 6 hours time! Although I left their office still feeling the effects of the novocaine, I was decidedly upbeat and almost giddy with relief that my experience had been Pain Free!! Woo Hoo! The staff is simply amazing; they made me feel like family! I am now a huge fan of the staff at Lotus Smiles: Dr. Milam, Dr. Kim, Alexa, Aura, Debbie, Ren, Jackie, and of course the very kind and professional Office Manager Rene'e, are not just nice and affable, they welcomed me each time in a truly warm and loving manner! If you've been avoiding going to the dentist on a regular basis for any reason at all, your new dental home should be Lotus Smiles. How happy am I with my experience there? On a scale of 1 to 10, my experience has been a 50! Yep, the crew there is stellar! With Appreciation and Gratitude, Dr. Bob, The Stress and Pain...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there with my wife for a regular examination and clean up after checking that the office did take my insurance as well. Before my visit i also checked Lotus smiles website which mentioned that they have a new patient package for $99 which includes exam, x ray and cleanup (valued at $390). Upon arrival the staff was very kind and treated me nicely. Well thatās the end of good part! I had left early from work to make it on time for my appointment and was made to wait for over 40 minutes! During my entire cleanup, x ray and examination of over an hour (excluding the wait time) Dr. Millman precisely spent around 1-3 minutes with me, rest I was only in the hands of the āsupport staffā who did precisely everything. The few minutes which I spent with Dr. Millman were rather funny. He came, examined the X-rays and almost immediately started advocating aligners for my teeth. (Let me tell you, I have pretty straight teeth and there is almost no need of their exorbitantly expensive āInvasalineā aligners for me). I patiently heard him out and then asked him finally, if thereās anything wrong my teeth in general? To which he said everything seemed normal. I then told Dr. Millman that I have a 34th tooth which perhaps needs to be extracted as I sometimes get pain cause of it. He then went back to the X-Rays and said that he completely missed it! He seemed least interested in the actual problem whatsoever and suggested that I setup an appointment for extraction and that heāll do it. He ended the conversation by once again urging me to buy the āinvisalineā aligners and left the room. Soon an assistant came in to give me a detailed description, cost, methodology and benefits and what not of guess what..āinvisalineā aligners! Next day I called them to schedule an appointment for the extraction, the front desk lady told me sheāll get back with to me with a time. She then called me back and said that Dr. Millman canāt do the extraction and that Iāll have to go to a dental surgeon! Now to top it all up, 2 weeks later I received my bill which although should have been free and 100% covered by my insurance however since Lotus Smiles sent me a bill that exceeded $400 (on website it said $99) I had to pay the difference Out of pocket! Wish I had the time and patience to sue these frauds, but I just hope you wonāt buy in to Lotus smilesā fake reviews and make the same mistake as I did. Do not visit this place, its a...
