Ice Valley Boba — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I love this place and really didn’t want to leave a bad review but the way I was talked to just now by Alyssa was unacceptable. This will be the second time I’ve ordered Taiyaki online for pick up and it took too long to make which is no big deal. Let’s go back to the first time which was a few weeks ago. I was told by the guy working that day that they don’t really sell this item often so there was an issue making it. It took almost 30 mins. No big deal. He offered me a refund because he wasn’t able to cook it all the way. No big deal. Today, I gave them a second chance. I placed the order online at 6:24 for a taiyaki and a smoothie. Came in at 6:31 to pick up my orders. My smoothie was ready but the taiyaki wasn’t. They told me 2-3 more mins. 10 mins goes by and they tell me they’re having an issue with the machine and it will be another 2-3 more mins. 2-3 mins pass and Alyssa comes out from the back at 6:50pm. I didn’t see the taiyaki in her hand before I asked her politely if I could cancel the taiyaki and get a refund. I was ready to go. She rudely and loudly responded “I have it right here!” No apology for the wait. Nothing. Look.. I don’t mind the wait time or the issues making the taiyaki. I understand. Shit happens. But to be rude after I waited almost 30 mins for 2 little pastries was so unnecessary. It was a slap in the face. Like I said, I love this place, love the drinks and the food and the other staff members are so sweet but Alyssa? Get it together...

I recently visited Ice Valley, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! Not only were the food and drinks absolutely delicious, but the owner's warm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and had no idea which drink to choose but he helped out several times we’ve visit to pick an awesome drink!

One thing that really stood out to me was the selection of games available to play while waiting for my order or simply hanging out with friends. It added a fun and interactive element to the atmosphere, making the wait time fly by (already short to begin with). Whether you're a board game enthusiast or just looking to pass the time, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Boba was cool, slushie & experience was not so good. Please note I’ve only ever had boba once before at a different place. We come in order, first off, I felt she had an attitude for no reason or maybe was in a bad mood. I didn’t care, not my business & not my problem, I work with ppl all day, I just ignored it. I asked for a smoothie, she said do you want a smoothie or a slushie. I said smoothie, she still gave me a slushie, turns out they don’t have smoothies which is fine but why didn’t she just tell me that. She asked would I like boba, I said yes. Again only had boba once before, didn’t known there were different kinds besides the flavors. When we got out drinks it had black boba, was chewy, funny shaped & gross. We went back up there, I was like hey, I didn’t want this kind of boba. She had an attitude again & was rude this time but they remade the drinks. The inside has a bunch of games & was cool but I won’t be going back there because of the customer service. Yea they remade the drinks but she was grumpy from the start.
