Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Texas

Subject: Disappointing Experience at Marble Slab Creamery Dear Manager/Customer Service I recently visited your store on 8490 Highway six N. and ordered a Large bowl with Sweet Cream ice cream and Oreo. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Instead of receiving the three scoops and a full scoop of cookie crumbs as expected, I was given only two scoops with just a small sprinkle of cookie crumbs. Additionally, the cookies were not folded into the ice cream as they usually are. So all I received was sweet cream ice cream with cookies crumb sprinkled in an oversized bowl. When I asked the employee about it, he responded that he didn't want the ice cream to melt. I found this explanation confusing, Because There were children present in the store at the time, and I didn’t want to create a scene, so I quietly left I don’t claim to understand the workers assumption or intentions. I ultimately feel that My my order was not fulfilled properly; it was rushed and incomplete. Leaving me no choice but to throw out the plain ice cream. I’ve always loved Marble Slab Creamery—it brings back beautiful memories for me. But this visit left me disappointed and saddened. Not only did I not receive what I paid for, but it also affected the positive memories I’ve held for many years. I have had the pleasure of visited several different locations throughout this country…not only did the delicious ice cream but my experiences has always left me feeling at home(comforted). But today that feeling and experience was destroyed. I not only didn’t get to enjoy my $11.85 bowl but this was the worst experience I have ever had at Marble Slab. This doesn't even deserve to say fair it should just say poor! This is the WORST marble slab I have been to. My husband and I stood waiting for 10 minutes before the attendant stopped to get another girl that was obviously irritated that she had been called from the back leaving the service something to be desired. I asked the attendant for one of their "special" blends and she had no idea how to make it and the other attendant had to correct her and she still didn't make it correctly. When she handed the $8 cone over it was literally dripping all over the counter and myself. When I asked for a bowl to put it in I was very rudely informed that was the reason they don't put "sundaes" in cones". Well maybe if I was informed that what I was ordering was a sundae I would of put it into a bowl but I wasn't made aware of this and apparently neither was the attendant that made it. When my husband went to put his order in the attendant behind the counter replied rudely again that she wasn't going to be able to help him because other patrons had come in and now they would be serving by group. Needless to say my husband decided that he didn't want ice cream badly enough to have to deal with that other attendant that hadn't a clue as to what she was doing. When I got into out vehicle and tried my ice cream I was even more annoyed by the fact that the cone was stale and the ice cream tasted old. Unfortunately I will NOT be attending this ice creamery every again and I don't recommend anyone else...

This store is located on hwy 6 and west rd in the kroger shopping center facing hwy 6.

We arrived at the store at 830 pm on a Monday night.

There were two patrons in front of us and 8 behind us. 1 young man working the counter , and another man in the back .

It took the young man working the counter about 15 - 20 minutes to make 2 shakes for the customers in front of us.

The marble slab had not been wiped down, and when he got to my order he mixed my ice cream on top of what was already on the slab. Was not even the same flavor.

The ice cream was good but the ice cream bowl was stale and un - edible.

There were no ice cream cakes or goodies in the freezer and when they were doing our order of 3 they did not put the orders back in the freezer while they finished the rest so they were melty when given to us.

The man from the back did come out as we were leaving to help , by this time there were 12 patrons .

I absolutely love marble slab ice cream . But I was disappointed with the quality at this location. And I hope they bring it up , if you order here get the ice cream but...
