I went to the John's Creek location over the weekend. First, there was no one at the register when we walked in. We had to ask if someone could come over. Then before we tried to order, another customer complained that there is no soda in the machines nor is there any ice. The girl didn't even report that issue to anyone. Also, none of the employees were wearing name tags and when asked for names later on, I was told they don't know the names of their co-workers. Really??? So now I tried to place my order. I usually get a special order which I know they can do because I had previously contacted customer care and they emailed me back with step-by-step instructions on how to make the order and ring it up on the register since this sandwich is no longer on their menu unfortunately. Customer care suggested for me to hang on to the receipt so it's easier for them to see how to ring it up which I did. I usually get a chicken Caesar salad sandwich on my bread of choice. First, they told me they can't do it. They wouldn't even acknowledge the email I had from customer care or the receipt which shows I placed the same order about a month ago. Then I was told they don't have the ingredients for it. So I said then you better take the chicken Caesar salad off your menu as that's misleading to your customers. They said, why, we still sell the salad. Well then it's the same ingredients from the salad just on our bread of choice. Not sure what's so difficult about that. I asked to speak to the manager and "Jason" refused to come over to speak to us but instead he walked by several times smirking at us. Panera Bread lost 3 customers as me, my mom and my sister were all going to place the same order. Extremely...
Read moreDined at Panera on Medlock Bridge in Duluth /Johns Creek on 10.30.18 at 1:30p. As all their stores, a good selection of sandwich, soup & sweets is offered. My wife and I ordered the half & half deal, both coming to around $10+ each. Counter women were both cheerful and communicated well. The meals served in under five minutes. That's the 3-star rating.
A problem occurred with an older man (60 +/-) busing tables. He brought napkins at seating, not necesary, but became aggressive in manner, removing items that were just finished or undecided. He became so obtrusive I had to put up the stop-sign with my hand which seemed to irritate him. On observation, it may've been an issue with other guests nearby. I think a manager helped bring out our meals but I did not observe one again during the visit. On exit, we left a tip and about five steps out, he called, 'Finished?' I just waved, 'yes,' but thought later he was 'sticking-it-to-me' and I should've walked back, halved the tip. Next time we dine there, I'll need to define our boundries more clearly from the get-go (10.31.18).
UPDATE: Returned almost a year to the date (10.30.20), hoping the problem with staff would've been addressed. It has not. The same obtrusive bus-man is still employed, interfering with dining in hustle for tips (?) and handing out napkins with his bare hands, even in pandemic. Maybe he's the owner or relative of such, but we won't be back to find out, not to a restaurant that doesn't respond to...
Read moreDon't bother! I usually do not leave bad reviews but I usually have better service than this. I ordered a bread bowl online with soup for curbside pick up. It says pick up is at 11:35am. I receive a text that states notify us when you arrive. As I pull in I see that there are only 2 curbside spots labeled #1 and #2 and they are occupied so I pull into another spot and pull up the text to notify them that I am outside. You can actually choose, I am here but not in a designated spot as I did. After waiting 5 minutes I received a text that says your order is ready please notify us when you arrive so I "notified" them again! A few more minutes go by and no one shows up, I see the other two curbside customers get out and go in so I do the same and of course there are 7 or 8 people in each of the two lines. I understand being short staffed and especially now but figure it out...do not allow curbside pick up if you have no one to bring it out! They just started sitting all of our orders on the pick up shelf and had no apologies or anything. Basically we were told your orders are over there after we all waited in line 10 minutes plus the 10 minutes sitting outside waiting. The food is not good enough to go...
