Update: We gave McAlister’s one more chance and they gave us a small credit and we’re pleased with the results. We’ve continued going since then and had no problems, but you do have to call if you place a mobile order for bulk items and remind them or you won’t get the bulk item. No biggie (if you know that calling is just part of the process).
McAlister’s used to be so amazing! But ever since COVID we’ve been getting their delivery option, and it’s always horrible. 4 out of 5 times they forgot our $17 bulk soup. We called them twice to address it and they said they mailed us coupons but we never got any. This time, they remembered the soup (I had to call to remind them not to forget it), but my McAlister’s club (choose 2) had about 90% less meat and cheese (I even paid for extra cheese) than usual. I will include a picture of it for reference before we started eating. There were some other issues too. We used to spend big $ eating at McAlister’s very frequently, but this is the last straw. I’m not going to bother to contact them, because they’ll just tell us they’re mailing coupons that we will never receive again. Thanks to McAlister’s for having good food in the...
Read moreI stopped in, on the way home from visiting family in the hospital, seeking comfort food to lift my mood. It was less than 1/2 before closing, yet I did NOT get the attitude one generally gets at that time. Nor was there evidence of dinner rush. The restaurant was clean, self serve stuff (napkins, lids, straws, etc) was stocked, and honestly, the employees seemed rather fresh vs. worn out & crabby. The young lady who took my order was patient while I decided & finished the transaction with a sense of humor. The front of house staff were beginning their "side work," but still managed to be attentive & even included me in the conversation. I basically ordered a gourmet grilled cheese w/ Mac & cheese, but it was perfect! I actually made myself stop after 1/2 sandwich so I could enjoy it again later. I hope the young lady's chili came out alright and thank her for cheering me up. And, for the sensory related...
Read moreToday July 7th 2024 my sister and I chose to eat lunch at McAllister’s. My sister has food allergies and gluten sensitivity but she can order her sandwich on gluten free bread and leave off her allergy items. She always orders the McAllister’s club with no mayo, no cheese and no tomato as those are the allergy items. The waitress brought it out and it had cheese on it. She said it can’t have cheese because of an allergy. The waitress took it away and then came back and asked again what the food allergies were. They had been told 3 times but this point! When the waitress brought her sandwich back it was just a ham sandwich. My sister chose not to send it back at this point because she was hungry. I know that it gets really busy but with food allergies it can be bad for the customer. McAllister’s has up a sign stating that they can accommodate food allergies but they need to be...
