I waited a day after because I really don’t like writing bad reviews but I still am pretty annoyed about what happened last night, as someone says below - this establishment IS open 24 hours. I got home from Miami and really just wanted a cheeseburger and some fries. Terrible decision. I’m going to preface this by saying it was only 10:15pm. They didn’t even say they were closed, they were “hiding,” though I wouldn’t even call it that. I saw a guy walking in, clearly starting his shift and I asked him if it was open and he said “ummm Idk, I’m just walking in.” Which I totally get, of course he wouldn’t know…but after he walked in I thought “okay maybe they’ll get their stuff together,” while also hoping said worker would relay the message. They were all hanging out, at first I thought they were having a good time but when I knocked on the window (just tell me you’re closed so I can move on) the woman at the first window with red hair started screaming and grabbed the headpiece with quite a bit of anger. I was uncomfortable but stayed, thinking “okay, so they’re just getting things together, probably figuring things out between each other.” 3 more people lined up behind me (at this point it’s been, like…30 minutes and over 15 cars had come and left, but I stayed - that’s how desperate I was to not drive to the abacoa one after driving a total of 4 1/2 hours yesterday) they were asking me if I knew what was going on and I said I didn’t know but I saw people and she responded “why don’t they at least tell us something?” Which summed up the entire experience. Like, I get it. Working sucks. But this was actually ridiculous. Anyway, I ended up at the McDonald’s near Abacoa and I implore you to do the same.

We often stop by this McDonald’s before or after camping trips with the Scouts, and in the past, we’ve usually had very good experiences here with quick service and hot food. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. After camping at the Jupiter Lighthouse, we came here for breakfast and ordered two Bacon, Egg McGriddles, one Egg McMuffin, and a hash brown. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but it took a while to get our order. When it finally arrived, the hash brown was overcooked (it seemed like it had been fried twice), and the food was cold by the time we got the three waters we requested—about 15 minutes later. Customer service also fell short. We stood at the counter for several minutes without being greeted or helped, so we used the self-order kiosk. When we needed assistance, it took over six minutes for someone to acknowledge us but I had to follow an employee to our table as the we’re delivering our food to request waters. It also seems like more McDonald’s locations are moving the drink machines behind the counter. While that might work for some setups, it makes something as simple as getting water unnecessarily complicated. A self-service water station with cups would have solved this issue and saved everyone time. This location has been great in the past, and we hope this was just an off day. We’ll likely give it another try in the future, trusting the excellent service we’ve experienced before will return.

Waiting for five mins for a refill is nuts. If the machine is down, you let the customer know that "it's down and it's going to be a few mins while you get it working." You must communicate what is happening so you don't end up with unhappy customers. Let us know what's going on because no one is working the front end, and we don't know if you forgot about our request. No one came out to clean the tables, no one greets, no one working the counter. McDonald's is all over the world, and you decide to eliminate cashiers, so now no one is working the front end. This is horrible. Just asking for ketchup will take several minutes because everyone is working the kitchen and drive through. Also, no salt on fries is criminal! How is anyone supposed to keep an eye on the dining room? The teenagers playing loud music on their phones, hanging out like this, is their living room. No thanks. So sloppy. Get it to get McDonald's, especially this manager or shift lead in the navy top, asking for people to be respectful when she doesn't communicate with customers. Hire more people and fire her!

I rarely ever come to McDonalds for a quick bite, but it was the only location open at the time that (I thought) had ice cream. But, as memory serves me correctly, the ice cream machine was not working, as is usually the case whenever I have gone out to pick some up via the drive thru past 12 a.m.

That was the least of my issues. I was almost expecting the ice cream to not be available (in any form), but the true disaster was the extraordinarily long wait time, as well as the quality of the food. I will first cover the wait time.

To my recollection, I arrived at the drive thru line (with about 5 cars in front of me) and left in about 45 minutes to an hour. So that equates to a little over 10 minutes a car, if I did in fact wait an hour. Regardless. I'm sure we can both agree this is simply unacceptable. When I asked the kind lady at the second drive thru window what had been making the lines so slow, she mentioned it was just her and one other employee working at the time, who was the cook.

Now, I would understand if a former meal was being prepared, but considering the simplicity and time frame it takes to cook a chicken sandwich anf fries, this made no logical sense that it would take this long to throw together the meal I ordered.

Thankfully, the black, middle aged woman at the second drive thru window was charismatic and didn't project her frustrations with her dilemma onto the customer (myself).

When I arrived home (I live about 10 minutes from this location), I noticed immediately that the fries were stale and cold. Considering the possible argument of the employees would have been that they were extremely busy, and had to rush to make the customers' meals, I found it ironic that the fries would be cold; if anything, wouldn't they be hot?

The spicy crispy chicken sandwich waa still warm, thankfully, although it was anything but crispy.

I'm not sure where the issue lies - the employee cooking the meals, management, or even corporate, bit this ensured I won't be visiting a McDonald's anytime soon. Next time if I'll either head to the 24/7 Burger King down the street, or even stay home and eat whatever leftovers I have here, especially knowing the main reason I took the trip to McDonalds, the ice cream, was not...

This location has become straight up terrible. I went tonight at 8pm and the doors were locked, but plenty of customers eating inside. So I knock a few times, get the attention of a staff member, and she just sits there staring at me as I gesture to the doors and indicate I want to come inside. I had just selected inside pickup and paid for my mobile order when I pulled in. The staff member walks over, and turns out she’s the manager, and then proceeds to be extremely rude while explaining (this is being generous, as she was very nasty to me) she closed the dining room due to staff shortage, but was really mean for no reason that I caused. I just wanted to get the food I paid for. There was no sign indicating the dining room was closed due to staffing or any other reason.

So I went drive thru. When picking up my food I asked for the managers name. The staff person plainly refused to provide her name. She then gets the attention of the manager who instructed the staff person to close the window and ignore me. Seriously? Is that store policy to refuse to provide the first name of the manager on duty?

I have never had such a needlessly terrible experience at any restaurant. Sure you expect them to get an order wrong here or there, maybe the bathroom isn’t as clean as you would prefer, but outright rude and clearly unprofessional behavior from a manager when it isn’t even a late night shift? And this persons management style is turning other staff members into poor employees and training them to do all the wrong things.

I do not see me going to this location again unless it’s an emergency for awhile until this person (don’t know her name lol) is fired.

From a quick look at other recent reviews my experience seems typical of this location these days, so avoid this location if you don’t want to deal with staff and management who will likely treat you worse than you would...

I don’t know what the deal is with this location, not all experiences have been bad, but every single time I’ve come to this McDonald’s, it’s backed up. It does not matter what day of the week it is. Obviously weekends are busier and I understand this location is directly off the Interstate, but the McDonald’s that’s on the same rd that’s less than a 5 minute drive doesn’t have issues like this location. This location is poorly managed and I regularly have to wait 15-30 minutes for an order. I’m an Uber Eats driver and have been doing it for 3 yrs. The entire time, I have not seen any change, whatsoever.

Tonight was such a ridiculous experience, I almost had to laugh walking out to my car, but my customer asked for extra silverware. I walked back up to the pick up area waiting for someone to come out, and it took a while for someone to walk out, when they finally did, I politely asked if I could have some extra silverware and the lady looked at me like I had 2 heads. She goes,”what’s that?” I further tried to clarify,” plastic wear,” still confused, “spoons, forks?” And she responds with okay and then walks away. She disappeared and I waited a few minutes and she never returned. I’m not sure if she just didn’t care or just didn’t understand me and pretended like I did she did so that she didn’t have to talk to me anymore. Another employee who walked up about 5 minutes later to give other customers their orders, I got her attention and asked if she could please get me some extra silverware and EVEN SHE had no idea what I was talking about. It took a customer standing next to me to explain it in Spanish for her to understand. I’m sorry, but if you have multiple employees that don’t understand basic requests in english, that’s a bit ridiculous. Please hire more employees that have a better grasp of the...
