I rarely ever come to McDonalds for a quick bite, but it was the only location open at the time that (I thought) had ice cream. But, as memory serves me correctly, the ice cream machine was not working, as is usually the case whenever I have gone out to pick some up via the drive thru past 12 a.m.
That was the least of my issues. I was almost expecting the ice cream to not be available (in any form), but the true disaster was the extraordinarily long wait time, as well as the quality of the food. I will first cover the wait time.
To my recollection, I arrived at the drive thru line (with about 5 cars in front of me) and left in about 45 minutes to an hour. So that equates to a little over 10 minutes a car, if I did in fact wait an hour. Regardless. I'm sure we can both agree this is simply unacceptable. When I asked the kind lady at the second drive thru window what had been making the lines so slow, she mentioned it was just her and one other employee working at the time, who was the cook.
Now, I would understand if a former meal was being prepared, but considering the simplicity and time frame it takes to cook a chicken sandwich anf fries, this made no logical sense that it would take this long to throw together the meal I ordered.
Thankfully, the black, middle aged woman at the second drive thru window was charismatic and didn't project her frustrations with her dilemma onto the customer (myself).
When I arrived home (I live about 10 minutes from this location), I noticed immediately that the fries were stale and cold. Considering the possible argument of the employees would have been that they were extremely busy, and had to rush to make the customers' meals, I found it ironic that the fries would be cold; if anything, wouldn't they be hot?
The spicy crispy chicken sandwich waa still warm, thankfully, although it was anything but crispy.
I'm not sure where the issue lies - the employee cooking the meals, management, or even corporate, bit this ensured I won't be visiting a McDonald's anytime soon. Next time if I'll either head to the 24/7 Burger King down the street, or even stay home and eat whatever leftovers I have here, especially knowing the main reason I took the trip to McDonalds, the ice cream, was not...
Read moreThis location has become straight up terrible. I went tonight at 8pm and the doors were locked, but plenty of customers eating inside. So I knock a few times, get the attention of a staff member, and she just sits there staring at me as I gesture to the doors and indicate I want to come inside. I had just selected inside pickup and paid for my mobile order when I pulled in. The staff member walks over, and turns out she’s the manager, and then proceeds to be extremely rude while explaining (this is being generous, as she was very nasty to me) she closed the dining room due to staff shortage, but was really mean for no reason that I caused. I just wanted to get the food I paid for. There was no sign indicating the dining room was closed due to staffing or any other reason.
So I went drive thru. When picking up my food I asked for the managers name. The staff person plainly refused to provide her name. She then gets the attention of the manager who instructed the staff person to close the window and ignore me. Seriously? Is that store policy to refuse to provide the first name of the manager on duty?
I have never had such a needlessly terrible experience at any restaurant. Sure you expect them to get an order wrong here or there, maybe the bathroom isn’t as clean as you would prefer, but outright rude and clearly unprofessional behavior from a manager when it isn’t even a late night shift? And this persons management style is turning other staff members into poor employees and training them to do all the wrong things.
I do not see me going to this location again unless it’s an emergency for awhile until this person (don’t know her name lol) is fired.
From a quick look at other recent reviews my experience seems typical of this location these days, so avoid this location if you don’t want to deal with staff and management who will likely treat you worse than you would...
Read moreI don’t know what the deal is with this location, not all experiences have been bad, but every single time I’ve come to this McDonald’s, it’s backed up. It does not matter what day of the week it is. Obviously weekends are busier and I understand this location is directly off the Interstate, but the McDonald’s that’s on the same rd that’s less than a 5 minute drive doesn’t have issues like this location. This location is poorly managed and I regularly have to wait 15-30 minutes for an order. I’m an Uber Eats driver and have been doing it for 3 yrs. The entire time, I have not seen any change, whatsoever.
Tonight was such a ridiculous experience, I almost had to laugh walking out to my car, but my customer asked for extra silverware. I walked back up to the pick up area waiting for someone to come out, and it took a while for someone to walk out, when they finally did, I politely asked if I could have some extra silverware and the lady looked at me like I had 2 heads. She goes,”what’s that?” I further tried to clarify,” plastic wear,” still confused, “spoons, forks?” And she responds with okay and then walks away. She disappeared and I waited a few minutes and she never returned. I’m not sure if she just didn’t care or just didn’t understand me and pretended like I did she did so that she didn’t have to talk to me anymore. Another employee who walked up about 5 minutes later to give other customers their orders, I got her attention and asked if she could please get me some extra silverware and EVEN SHE had no idea what I was talking about. It took a customer standing next to me to explain it in Spanish for her to understand. I’m sorry, but if you have multiple employees that don’t understand basic requests in english, that’s a bit ridiculous. Please hire more employees that have a better grasp of the...
