This was our first time at Famous Dave's. We were met by a young lady with an, "I don't care attitude." She sat us in front of the door so I asked if we could sit at another table because it was so cold. She said. "No, I have to alternate," then she just walked away. I looked around and there were plenty of seats available so she could have sat us in another spot if she would have been kind enough to do so. Our waiter was a young man who was everywhere except at our table. It took him about 10 minutes to come over and take our order. Then it took about 20 minutes to get our food that was delivered to our table by some other employee who didn't get all the information for our order so we had to wave our waiter down for our drinks, twice (he forgot after the first request) and our condiments that we requested with our meal. Then my hamburger that I ordered "WELL DONE" came to me medium rare. I would have told our waiter but I couldn't find him and everyone else was running around doing their own tables. So, I ate the edges of my burger and my fries. When our waiter finally came around to give us our check I told him about my burger and he said with a snotty tone, "Well I wish you would have told me sooner". His tone made me angry so I chose not to reply to his comment because I would have been very rude to him. He never came to our table to ask us how our meal was or if we needed anything or to refill our drinks. He was an absent waiter with a bad attitude. Our ticket showed that he gave us "FREE DRINKS" (just iced teas) to make up for the burger (I am assuming) that I could hardly eat but he should have refunded my whole meal instead. That's what a good waiter would have done.
Both people represented Famous Dave's in a very poor light. I understand times are tough and things are different then 2 years ago but there was NO reason for them to be as unprofessional as they were. We left giving NO tip and choosing to...
Read moreI can not speak of the service or atmosphere. I ordered through uber eats and will never do so again. Ordered a sampler platter with ranch and 2 kids meals, not sure what I got but it wasn't white like ranch! No tartar sauce for fish strips. Food was delivered very early so I can not blame on delivery service. Needless to say, 40 bucks down the drain because once it hits a certain temp, it isn't worth the risk. My kids were bymmed to say the least so they lost some extar extra points there. They also show 2 pieces of chicken in the kids meal but I guess that's for show, you only get one piece and that is NOT stated in its description. At this point, I wouldn't even give them my money in person if they can screw up an order this bad. Order delivery service hundreds of times but never from this place again. Just to mention a second time....delivery dri er came right from there to here in record time. Something needs to be fixed. Someone apologized from the restaurant but that did not help at all. Sorry Famous Dave's, you messed up my order and I did not receieve any constellation. All you jad to do was try to attempt to fix what happened. I ain't snobby but I expect what I paid for and do not appreciate no compensation. Lost a customer for life over those poor decisions. Customer isn't always right as I am from the industry, but they made zero effort outside of publicly apologizing to me on Google. I will find my bbq elsewhere. Shame on you. Read moreSad to see it fall apart. It's really gone downhill, and you can see staff (especially the manager) frustrated and angry about it. As we entered, a made-up sign pointed us towards the other door. Which both were locked. When other patrons let us, and others who followed in after, the management saw yet did nothing of it. It's almost like they didn't want patrons and would rather be slow to do nothing. We watched 2 tables get up and leave (due to an extreme long wait fromt the kitchen) we were patient, yet our waitress came by no less than 6 times to apologize for the wait. We were never officially greeted, manager took over the hostess duties, yet the look on his face made it uncomfortable to approach him. A nice lady in front of us came in, and confirmed her reservation for 15, and the manager questioned her math. She would surely know if she made the reservation but it sounded like he was taking shots at her. Bartender was a ghost as we watched waiters ring in drinks which went unfilled since she was rarely to be seen. Even when she made drinks, they sat on the counter to die instead of her helping the busy staff and bring the drinks out to their tables. (maybe it's their policy or something, but common sense says otherwise). Food quality went downhill. We love this place, and were sad how bad the brisket was. Beans were cold, chicken overcooked and dry and more. Our appetizer was also cold. These things can be fixed, but the attitude comes from the top and I think management needs to have a vacation and come back refreshed so the passion in this BBQ house...
