I was honestly surprised by the quality of the food here. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and my boyfriend had the one entrée meal with Sesame Chicken and lo mein.
They cooked my Beef Lo Mein fresh and the beef was -incredibly- tender. Chinese takeout beef has no business being as pleasantly tender as it came out in my order. The mushrooms and broccoli were good as well. It wasn't overly oily, which was nice. My only complaint/suggestion is that the dish could improve with some minced garlic and possibly some scallions added in for extra flavor.
The Sesame Chicken seemed like pretty average fare, it didn't stand out spectacularly but was nice and hot despite being under a heat lamp for however long.
The service was average, but I did notice they -do- charge for a water cup (about $0.25 if I recall correctly). Drinks run about $2.00 more or less, and I'm not quite sure if they offer refills.
I honestly didn't expect much for it being more of a tourist-ridden place but the beef in the beef lo mein was really really good for no apparent reason. It was also cheaper than the one entrée meal, so I'd recommend ordering the beef lo mein if...
Read moreDo not listen to the reviews that give 3 or more stars for this place. The food here is disgusting. If I had to guess how someone even accomplishes such disgusting Chinese food I would guess they just dig old food out of the dumpsters of Panda Express, then re-fry it in old fish oil, then age it for two days in a college dorm room mini fridge finally heat in microwave with a broken turntable. My children each got sesame chicken, orange chicken, sweet-and-sour chicken. None of the three tasted like chicken, but all three were simultaneously soggy and dry at the same time. As far as I know only the highest order of dark wizard can achieve such a feat. And, if you're thinking "oh I can just wash it down with water or soda," think again. Here a cup of tap water cost $0.25 and sodas come in one size medium-ish. For a final insult a large sign on the soda fountain reads "ONE REFILL ONLY." Nevertheless, this unwelcoming sign is the most friendly customer service experience you'll have enjoyed up to that point. The staff will treat you as if you are an inconvenience, as you pay money to buy terrible food, which presumably pays...
Read moreDo not go here. For starters, the menu is inconsistent. They advertise two combos but will not honor either. The old man behind the counter was very rude with us and told us we could only order off the counter menu, not the posted board or mounted menu. He said we could not get the two entree meals for our kids to share He snapped at us more than once and then turned his back on us when we were trying to inquire about what exactly the meals included because it was not clear at all. His attitude towards us as prospective customers and first time visitors not knowing what was going on was enough for us to then turn our back on him in kind and just walk away. Reading the reviews now, it is highly unlikely we would have been pleased with the quality of food anyway. We got much better deals, quality of food, and service elsewhere instead. Big customer service mistake and big loss for him! It is a winder how he stays...
