This pub sits on the second floor of the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel. This was my first visit and will obviously be my last. The first issue was the difficulty of to locating the pub upon entering the hotel. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and pleasant enough. Sports were displayed on every screen. I guess that is to expected with it being marketed as a pub. However, it would have been nice if at least one screen featured something different. The service was spot on but the food was horrible. My server, Eric, did a lovely job of making me feel welcome! I ordered the Smoked BBQ Ribs, half a rack and a Spritz Refresher. The BBQ was cold, the sauce was extremely sweet. The fries were plenty but overcooked. I was sorely disappointed. Your food is a huge part of your image, and your reputation!

IF YOU ARE FROM OUTA TOWN, DO NOT EAT HERE FOR KC BBQ. The coleslaw with the onions- excellent. The fries- hot n fresh. The ribs and burnt ends- horrible, tasted a couple days old, reheated, dry, and hard to swallow. With only 4 other customers in the place, why did it take 35min to bring out the old meat. If you order the gooey cake for dessert expect another 20min.wait.

Overall they’re pretty good. The atmosphere, I feel, is a bit confusing. It’s “Spectators” and is trendily decorated with sports memorabilia and art, but the rest of the ambiance is upper-scale. Like I said, overall lovely place to grab a beer, just a bit pricey.

We decided to have breakfast at Spectators since we were staying in Sheraton hotel for a conference. When we arrived, the place was not busy so it took about 10 minutes for someone to notice we were at the hostess station. Upon seeing us, it was another 5 minute wait before we were seated. We were sat at a booth for our breakfast. So we waited another ten minutes before our waitress came over. We ordered our juice and breakfast items. As we were in conversation, we finally received our juice. Usually, the waitress would ask if we needed straws are not, oh not not this place. We asked three different waitresses for a straw. I know we were ignored plenty of times due to the way we were dressed. Finally, after begging for a straw we received one. Once our food arrived (chicken waffles), it was not what I dreamed of. The waitress delivered our items and said "have a nice day". I was like, hmmm...that means she will not be back to our table to check on us. Boy, was I right. The chicken was semi-burned without any flavoring. The item I enjoyed the most were the potatoes. Here is the kicker part - a customer of a different race was seated next to us and he was dressed almost like we were. He received top-notch service. The waitress immediately acknowledged him and read him the entire menu and all. I was like 'wow'. Kind of sad that we received the service that we did. Never judge anyone by their appearance, you never know who...

My recent dining experience at Spectators was nothing short of outstanding, thanks to the phenomenal service provided by Davelle. From the moment we were seated, Davelle greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism that immediately set the tone for our visit.

He was incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that every detail of our meal was perfect. Davelle managed to strike the perfect balance between efficiency and friendliness, making us feel both well cared for and completely at ease.

What truly stood out was his ability to anticipate our needs and respond with such grace. It felt like we were dining at a five-star establishment. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to making every guest feel special!

Davelle is a true asset...
