Only 3rd time to this location. Server was nice, but had to chase her down. ▪︎ You bring appetizer with no silverwear, no napkins. Brings alcohol beverage, dripping all over the place. Then grabbed some napkins. ▪︎Wanted to get strawberry diaquari, but some machine was broken. So asked server: Any suggestions for fufu drink. She didn't know of any. (Bar & grill, server shoukd take the time to know the products to customers, not saying needs to be a barter, but knowing your products), server came back Muhammad mama (sorry about spelling), I believe was the drink. ▪︎Management needs to do some training. ▪︎I feel like then just throw folks in & "Don't Care How Service is Given", which to me is sad. I work hard for my money, I want to feel valued as a customer. No I am not talking about kissing toes. ▪︎Got the egg rolls for my appetizer, they are small, be honest nothing to write home about. It hadn't to be "Taco Tues" so my friend was trying the tacos. You purschase individual tacos ($1.25) I believe was the price, which is not a bad deal. ▪︎Got desert, ordered donuts with chocolate sauce. Received some mini ball like things with soup of vanilla ice cream in the middle. I had to chase down our server to advise I didn't get the Choc sauce. (Different employee brought them to our table). I was meeting with a friend, I hadnt seen in 28 yrs, so we wanted to visit. ▪︎When it got later, in the night our server, asked if wanted anything else, because she was cut needed to close our tab out. ( management couldn't cover for her, & she still recieved the tip ?). ▪︎I used the restroom, guess I have never been to this location. They are coed restroom. Individual full stalls, doors.. I stopped for a moment, to make i was going in correct one, it throw me for a moment. I personally don't care for that. ▪︎Also noticed as night went on, the volume of the TV's went up. There was basketball game on and jockey on. It was nit packed. Only two tables with for than 4 people. To be honest seemed to be quit night, lots, lots of open tables, so why did the TV need to be SO loud. Seemed more like a nuisance, I could see in some areas, fir certain groups of customers that are active watching. ▪︎Still disappointed in the location, still needs alot of work. This location is by local hospital, so service should be top notch: they have potential wide range of customers. Employees needing lunch, dinner, co-workers getting together to relax have fun. Sports customer wanting watch a certain game, to families that like sports, to friends getting together, to couples want dinner & drink. To someone lives close by doesn't want to cook "get a quick bite" ▪︎So the potential is there to make a killing, but not is you don't have the servers or give experience that makes a customer want to come back. Like music "One Shoot wonder". ▪︎What do they do to offer local folks, that live in "Rosedale" neighbors/patrons to support a local business ? I only...
Read moreMother admitted to hospital late night so I go in this place since it is by the hospital and the NBA playoffs are on. I stand at a table as several waitress walk by. I stood there for 5mins waiting to see if it was ok if I sit there and also to ask if they would be showing the Warriors vs Clippers game on the TVs since I'm visiting from California. No one acknowledged me standing there. So I move to the bar, I finally interrupt a waitress and ask will you all be playing the game. She said ask the bartender and he could turn it on. I look to get his attention as he was filling up a beer pitcher. Not once did he come over. I basically stood there before and after inquiring with the waitress for about another 5 mins. I walk up stairs and see a waitress putting up chairs. I ask for a manager she says what do you need. I told her and she said the manager was actually the guy behind the bar. I go back by the bar ask a waitress for a business card with the general managers name on it and she ask me why! I explained my dilemma to her she then says well you are standing at the end of the bar where typically doordash people come. Well I guess they ignore them as well. I explain to her that I stood ai7pt a table as well. She then proceeds to give me the orientation speech about how you can seat yourself, etc. I say well if I'm from out of town and havent been here before how would I know that. She proceeds to walk me to a chalk board where it literally says seat yourself but it is 2inches off the ground. I'm 6'4. When I walked in I was not looking at my feet. Furthermore being totally ignored is the bigger issue. The entire time I was there. As I'm still conversing with the last waitress a white man and white woman walk into the bar. Guess what. The bartender walks right over puts coasters in front of them and starts to take their order. At that time I look around and it hits me that I am the only black person in the entire building! I was told there are certain places black people should stay away from in KC. I didnt know this was one of them. If you are visiting family at the hospital and you are from out of town and you are black, you may want to stay away from this place. I cant believe even when asking for a business card so I could express my concerns to a manager during normal business hours I get questioned as to why! Terrible experience. If I could give this place no...
Read moreWalked in Friday night and found a seat at the bar to drink a couple IPA's and order meals to carry out for my family, would have been 5 total meals.
I went for everyone so my mom was on the phone to tell me what everyone wanted.
I interrupted both bar tenders and many servers where they congregate at the end of the bar. They all ignored me!
New customers sat down on either side of me and were helped - those customers noticed and told the tender, Stacy, that I was there first and still waiting. Stacy said yeah he only wants a water and he's too busy on the phone to so I'll let someone else help him. They got up and went to a table and said to Stacy that he was being very rude and that they were sorry for me...
Never got water but after shouting down another bar tender, they got me a menu and IPA that I'd been asking for.
Stacy, the EMPLOYEE/bartender, began to say I didn't deserve to be helped bc I was in a bar on my cell phone... I was a o confused and said that am trying to order meals to go, and he again said people come to the bar to enjoy the people and environment and that it made him angry I was on the phone!!!
The other group of customers on my other side said he was being very unprofessional and also got up and let to a table. He continued to fight with me even though I was now trying to get anyone else's attention to order meals for my family. He told the servers a t the end of the bar to ignore me and they DID!
Finally, a bar tenders named Will I think took my order but Stacy was standing right behind him saying insults out loud about me...
I had to get up and leave at that point and will never be back. In almost 40 years I have never encountered such an unbelievable...
