Delicious! Our group shared and sampled multiple dishes from their charcuterie platter, chicken quesadilla, corn dip, meatloaf melt, strawberry pop tart, and their epic peanut butter Reese's cookie - everything was delicious. I was surprised because usually something leaves you wanting. The only disappointment is that they said the meatloaf melt was a favorite and honestly I felt the charcuterie plate and chicken quesadilla overshadowed it because they were flawless. The spiced nuts (charcuterie) and zesty sauce (quesadillas) elevated the dish to beautiful places. Then we hit dessert.... Holy buckets! That cookie is the cookie equivalent of eating a few spoonfuls of peanut butter with a happy side of chocolate and that strawberry pasty was a happy childhood throwback! The atmosphere was fun without being over bearing and very clean. Thanks for the great first impression- we...
Read moreWe ordered a small cappuccino, a cortado, and a breakfast burrito. I was charged for a medium cappuccino, I guess because that was the only size mug they had. Coffee was burnt and cappuccino was too milky. We had finished our coffees and still no breakfast burrito, so I asked about it. I don't know if you didn't get charged for it or what." I thought that was a weird thing to say since I had paid $14 plus tip and it seemed like he was accusing us of trying to steal a breakfast burrito? Finally, later that day my partner and I both had stomach issues and the only thing we had that was the same was the coffee so seems like their...
Read moreComiCon was in town, which made parking a mess. But after making the trek from my long-lost parking spot -- a spot to which I've never returned, thus abandoning my car to the urban jungle of Quality Hill -- Spokes was a welcome two-wheeler oasis in a sea of GoT and Star Wars cosplayers. The coffee was fresh and hot, and the Veggie Delight wrap was much needed and delicious nourishment after the long hike. If you're vegan (like me), they'll happily accommodate: the wrap was prepared without cheddar, and without disparagement or disdain. They also have beer, which I contemplated but ultimately passed on. Next time. And the bikes! So many bikes. Inspired, I'll be back on two wheels.
If anyone finds a green Subaru Impreza now overgrown with weeds and urban flora in Quality Hill, it's yours -- I'm getting a...
