The first time I have ever visited Town Topic Hamburgers was when I was about 10 or 11 years of age. The location for Town Topic Hamburgers that I went to when I tried the food there for the first time was the location on Broadway Boulevard near the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City, which is the original location for Town Topic Hamburgers. The original Town Topic Hamburgers location on Broadway Boulevard has an arcade-style pinball machine inside its restaurant, but the location on Baltimore Avenue does not . There is another location for Town Topic Hamburgers, which is on Baltimore Avenue and that is also near the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City. The last time I went to a Town Topic restaurant was back in October 2021, and I went to the location on Baltimore Avenue. Town Topic Hamburgers was founded in the year 1937, and the founder’s name was Claude Sparks. In 1937, Claude Sparks opened a little white diner that was located at 2442 1/2 Broadway Boulevard in downtown Kansas City and began selling hamburgers for 5 cents for every burger sold. Another 75 years later, Town Topic Hamburgers has established itself as an iconic piece of the history of Kansas City. The original Town Topic Hamburgers location on Broadway Boulevard is opened for 24 hours each day for seven days each week. However, the Baltimore Avenue location for Town Topic Hamburgers is only open from 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. during breakfast and lunch times, but is also closed on Sundays. At Town Topic Hamburgers, customers have the opportunity to step back in time, if only for a little while. There are many regular customers who have frequented the Town Topic Hamburgers restaurants for years, and they all have great old stories to tell about the wonderful city of Kansas City that they call their home, and other customers can simply ask the past and present regular customers who have visited and eaten at Town Topic Hamburgers for a long time. As a matter of fact, the downtown diners of Town Topic Hamburgers haven’t changed a whole lot since when it first started.

Nowadays, Town Topic Hamburgers has been around in Kansas City for more than 75 years. When past, present, and new customers visit Town Topic, they can enjoy an old-fashioned hamburger, hand-dipped milkshakes and malts, a bowl of hot and steamy homemade chili, fresh breakfast platters and sandwiches, freshly-baked pie that can sold whole or by the slice, a cup of hot coffee, or an ice cold soda prepared right in front of the customers whenever they sit at the old-fashioned diner-style lunch counter. Town Topic Hamburgers has been operating in business for over 75 years now, and the local restaurant chain of Town Topic is still selling its hamburgers in large amounts since the place gets a lot of visits from past, present, and new customers. Town Topic Hamburgers is still cooking the hamburgers the same way with grilled onions, and a steamed bun ever since they have been open for business. Town Topic also has the same full breakfast line that they have always had, because the breakfast served at Town Topic is all cooked fresh to order. The menu at Town Topic has a wide variety of foods that are typically served at restaurants with a greasy-spoon style of concept such as breakfast omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast dishes, biscuits and gravy, hamburgers, sandwiches, bowls of homestyle steaming hot chili, side dishes, pies sold whole and by slice, hand-dipped milkshakes and malts, and other ice cream dishes. When I went to Town Topic Hamburgers in October 2021, I ordered a Pork Tenderloin sandwich with a side dish of French fries, and I even drizzled a couple of different condiments to enhance the flavor of my meal. In my opinion, my meal was good like any other time at Town Topic and the service is always busy but excellent. If customers and people who are new to the Kansas City metropolitan area are looking for the best old-school diner in Kansas City, I would highly recommend that Town Topic Hamburgers is the restaurant to...

A Classic Gem at Town Topic Town Topic, a beloved Kansas City institution, continues to shine as a go-to spot for hearty, no-frills dining. Known for its 24-hour service and retro diner vibe, this establishment recently impressed me with its consistent quality and welcoming atmosphere. The burgers are the undisputed star of the menu. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served on a soft bun, they deliver a satisfying bite that rivals some of the city’s best. The attention to detail in preparation shines through, making each patty a testament to classic American fare done right. Equally noteworthy are the tots—crisp on the outside, tender inside, and generously portioned, they add a delightful crunch to every meal. The staff elevates the experience with their friendly, down-to-earth demeanor. From the moment you walk in, the people at Town Topic exude warmth and efficiency, creating a sense of community that keeps regulars coming back. Their prompt service and genuine hospitality make even a quick stop feel special. The ambiance, with its nostalgic diner decor and bustling energy, complements the food perfectly. It’s a place where you can enjoy a late-night bite or a casual breakfast, all while soaking in the local charm. In conclusion, Town Topic is a standout for its great burgers, tots, and people. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this diner is highly recommended for a delicious, authentic experience. I look forward to...

Absolutely adore this place! We've been here twice now, for breakfast, and it's fantastic! If you enjoy the hole-in-the-wall type places, this is great! There's a full menu all day! You can get Chili and a cinnamon roll for breakfast if you want! Everyone is SO nice and friendly and the food is delicious! Burgers, omelets, it's all good! The pie is so good too! This time I had the Patty Melt with bacon and an egg. Omg! So good! Also, if you enjoy classic rock, the music here is awesome! The lady in the pic with me is super sweet, makes sure your cup is never empty and makes the pies. Love her! Yes, its small, but we love that. Even with the music, the loudest thing you ever hear is laughter, and there are two small, 2 person booths perfect for a date! And finally, if you notice, the staff is on a first name basis with so many customers! I recognized one guy and told him he was there the last time we were there too, and he said he goes there everyday. We drive 40 minutes to get there and will continue to do so!...
