I had not returned since 2020 when the ownership changed from the old papakeno"s pizza.

They didn't change much but the name and a few names of their items on the menu.

Their pizza slices are still larger then a normal pizza slice nothing amazing 5 out of 10.

I had originally reviewed them under papa Keno's in 2010 and gave them an 8 out of 10. Their is some shrinkflation as the pieces are not at large as they were.

And end of the night batch was super greasy the cheese tasted good and the dough was classic new york style.

Tried their calzones ordered 2, the TallGrass was 10 out of 10.

But you know when you get an item that goes beyond the worse thing you have ever tasted cross country when you have been reviewing food since 2010 through apps like foursquare, Twitter, Google and tiktok. Is when somthing is so gross that you post your In the moment reaction and you forget quickly how good the previous calzone was and can't remmeber other then looking at your notes how the pizza itself ranked. The cheese calzone was a 1 out of 10..I rank it that because even though it was flat like a pizza and burnt to a crisp on 1 side, I still took a bite of it and tried it the cheese was tastey.

I want to note their pizza sauce that comes with their calzones slap, a 10 out of 10.

Overall Google allows you to rate your experience in 3 categories.

Food, atmosphere, and customer service then it allows you to give an overall rating out of 5 stars vs how I have been giving my 1-10 rate scale.

For atmosphere as I listed above the outdoor patio is really nice in the summer being its a downtown location closing at 10pm on a Friday night was disappointing their was no heat lamps and the back patio was not open. They have a cute bar next to the ordering area and some vintage decor with matching arcade games overall a 6 out of 10 for atmosphere. But really 3 stars.

Customer service they refunded my bad calzone but was their an attempt to get me back in the door.I had called and asked for the manager, person speaking said she was the manager I asked for a higher up so I could contact them. They said I could come in the next day or call back to receive a refund on the burnt calzone.

The next day at around 5 pm I called the girl who answered put me on the phone with the manager, she then remembered our chat and asked me to come in to receive the refund. I told her I was a national food reviewer and currently out visiting other food establishments and couldn't make it back in. She put me on a brief hold but was able to find my receipt and provided a refund overall as mentioned above their was lacklust effort and not until I left a poor review did the owner step in. Overall 5 out of 10 or 3 stars on customer service.

I want to say that when I called in my order the gentleman very rudely stated I needed to get in in the next 20 minutes because they closed at 10. I called my order in at 855, I was giving the time frame of 30-35 minutes and I showed up promptly at 935 to pick up my order.

Overall I think a 2 star is accurate, previously I rated them a 4 out of 5 or an 8 out of 10 when they were under the name papa keno's.

Could be higher, the manager mentioned the person who made my burnt calzone was in training and neither the trainer or manager checked the quality of the calzone before packing it up to send it out the door. I would be willing to give this another chance and visit their overland...

We called in an order for pizza in the amount of $61.53. Went on to pick up the order with a $100 and a $1 bill and 53¢ to simplify the transactions. The young man at the register was not competent. He was unable to process the transaction so he asked for help. Once he recovers help they stated that they could not complete the transaction due to lack of change which was only $40.00. Once the manager came to assist with a very rude demeanor, she to continued to state there was no change to complete the transaction. The customer behind volunteered to give change to complete the transaction. Upon questioning the manager about the change situation she stated that the owner went on a bank run. She refused to give any other conversation due to her poor attitude. When we called to file a complaint about the incident to the owner he was very defensive and stated that he looked at the camera and saw that my husband started cursing at the staff, which was not true. He also commented you came in at the wrong time, when I was making a bank run and if you'd only waited five minutes we would have had change. How were we to know that? This information was not given to us. The owner also stated if you want to leave us a bad review" Go Ahead". This indicates to me that he feels that there was not a concern and that it's exceptable to treat customers in that manner. However, the whole experience was very unprofessional and they have lost a good customer. We decided to go to Vee's where the service was better and the food was...

Dined in at Buffalo State Pizza Co. for the first time yesterday and had a pleasant experience. I sat by myself at the bar top and the bartender Michaela was so sweet and welcoming. Her vibrant personality and recommendations on food and drink made the whole experience memorable. I decided on eating a small Greek salad, order of roasted garlic handmade breadsticks, with a German style Amber Ale and chocolate chip cookie for dessert (the best!). The salad came out fast and very fresh, but the breadsticks shocked me most. Holy cow they are massive and so tasty! I can only imagine how the pizza tastes because the breadsticks and salad were both fire.

The only downside I experienced was the host did not greet me when I walked in or act very friendly to take care of guests so I had to ask if bar seating was open seating and seat myself. It was an awkward interaction and she didn't seem to care if I was there or not. Michaela definitely turned the vibe around so thank you! Along with trying the pizza next time, I recommend playing either of the classic arcade games inside or sticking around for live music. I didn't expect to hear live music while I was there and the local artist who played gave the environment a very comfortable feel. It's overall a cozy venue with amazing fresh-made pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. Looking forward to coming back for happy hour slices of pizza with a...

My First time for a 3rd date with a friend. I would say this was a great pizza discovery. The food was flavorful and filling. The atmosphere was friendly, crafty and artistic. Unfortunately the pizza is pretty pricey but with the sizes and full toppings definitely give you your moneys worth. The main reason I gave it a 4 is because the pizza staff preparing the meals were playing and tossing dough back and forth. When it fell on the floor that made me nervous. I ended up staying at the counter to watch our pizza get made out of concern and curiousity to see what would happen to that piece of dough. The other guy making our pizza did wear gloves and made our request fresh to order which was a relief!!! I guess it would be safe to assume the tossing was for pure entertainment or to pass time. Scared me for sure 👀. I mean as a first time visitor that did not leave a good feeling. Overall the interaction here was more transactional as there is not waiters to assist you during your meal and you have to refill your own drinks from the fountain. They are very delicious and full of caffeine as it should be unlike most stations. I would recommend this place for adults for lunch and after work. It seems to be an appealing spot for dates and catching up. The also have a few vending machines and live performances which is an added attention getter!
