Edit: been coming here once or twice a week since moved back and I have to say is this is the best coffee shop in KC. Pablo is always great to me and so is the rest of the staff. Food options have grown drinks are great as always!
I really like this place. There's no other place like it in the area and worth the visit. I've been going here a couple times a week since they opened up. The drinks are really what I keep going for. The Horchata Latte is just straight up delicious. The Fresas con Creama cold brew is out of this world and reminds me of being a kid (that was my favorite dessert). I also got to try the Yerba Mate there and it was a nice experience.
I find the empanadas to be hit or miss. The past few times I've had them, they were undercooked and had no structure. It basically would fall apart if I held them with one hand. It was disappointing, but when they are severed nice and crispy they are pretty good.
My main issue is the counter service. First I will say I really like the staff but there have been a few times where they are really busy and I've waited 10 minutes for a coffee or 20 minutes for an empanada. That is fine but I have no interest in waiting at the counter that long. They will call your name but the place is so big that unless you are really yelling, you wont hear them. Sometimes they call your name and sometimes they just call the order which is really confusing when someone ordered the same thing. I would suggest putting a named ticket with the order.
Other coffee shops in the neighborhood like Mildreds and Messenger do a good job by giving you a number and bringing your food to you. This lets me get settled in with my laptop and put my headphones on.
Still, the atmosphere is unmatched. Like I said there is no placed like this around. It's great to see so many hispanic come together in one place. Often I hear good hispanic music there too. I feel well represented there. I'm excited to have this place my neighborhood and to see...

I have nothing but great things to say- I love the exposure and representation each cafe has for Latinx culture- it’s very inviting, educating, and a pleasant experience to be submerged and partake in! Delicious product, incredible customer service. I love the music :) I tell my friends to check out Café Corazon if they haven’t and everyone I’ve recommended to loves it!!
I wanted to shoot a s/o to one of the fellow employees at the crossroads location- (I deeply appreciate every employee I’ve interacted with!! They are stars
Read moreThis place is just stellar in all ways... First props go to their music- it's always very buzzing with unique and smooth beats, and I am a huge believer in music setting the energetic tone of a scene.... Second is how they always output delicious food and drinks, my usual go to is their ridiculous Mocha Azteca, heaven for those seeking the chocolate milk taste within a coffee. Third is how it is warm and comfortable in there! Most places for whatever reason have their thermostat set to a really low temp- even in the summer- and I never understand that for a place a business that wants people to congregate. Fourth their artwork is elevated, and worthy of their location in the middle of the Crossroads arts district. Their staff is always very friendly and helpful, and they even stay open until 6pm, which is a notch up on any coffee place, but considering they also sell alcohol, it makes it a great happy hour spot. Miel, Curtis, and Dulcinea do an incredible job running...
