I genuinely love this place!!

The people are amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, the food is amazing, the games are amazing, everything at Up-Down KC is just amazing!! It's literally the only place I'll go when it comes to bars/clubs, and I don't even drink alcohol.

The ONLY thing this wonderful establishment is missing are Chess tables, and Chess tournaments!!

I can't begin to tell you how much I, and so many others love the game of Chess. One thing that I've noticed over the years is the growth of Chess players Nationwide / Worldwide.

I can definitely see the addition of Chess being a win for everyone.

If you've never been to Up-Down KC, then stop everything you're doing right now and go; just GO!!!

I've driven by here and heard plenty about it, but I never visited on my own until this last weekend. I don't know what I was expecting, but 100% took the arcade of days past and added alcohol and decent pizza to allow us to continue to pursue the high score on DigDug or prove exactly how honed your skeeball skills are!

Truly just adultified a favorite childhood pastime, and I'm here for it! This place does serve pizza, but it's not going to win any gourmet awards. That is just fine though, as it's purpise is to absorb the alcohol so you can keep playing! With their daily token deals, you'll need that pizza so you can continue to play on that $10 you put in the token machine like an amateur thinking you'd have a good 15 minutes before it ran out. 2 hours later, you'll be gloating to all the passerbys below how you beat AHW's top score on Super Mario Brothers...and you would have been number one of that button hadn't...
