I am a breakfast fanatic. I test all the locations that I visit by the quality and pricing of their breakfast offerings. Everywhere I travel, I search for a breakfast that, like a luxury car, fills me with first grade gas for the entire day. On Saturday morning, in the enchanting Library District of KC MO, I was looking for a place with outside seating where I can satisfy both my stomach and my canine companions. The first place I tried boasted a selection of coffees and edibles, the latter limited to the sweet sugary variety. Not my kind of breakfast, nor did I like the prices attached to smallish size baked goods (about $4-5 each). Just around the corner I hit the jackpot. A quiet attractive place with two tables outside. Bingo.
The interior was peaceful and attractive. I was instructed to order via the screens. Fabulous selection. I opted for a breakfast sandwich, with eggs, spinach, roast potatoes, bell papers and English muffin. What arrived passed my expectations. This delightful sight was further blessed by a generous side dish of small roast potatoes and, a surprise in the shape of a small side salad consisting of finely chopped tomatoes, onions, and parsley, a perfect accompaniment to the omelette. The house coffee proved tasty and tangy, just right.
I enjoyed every bite. I delighted in every drop. I was equally pleased when the bill amounted to $ 9.50 (plus $ 2.50 for unlimited house coffee). Excellent...
Read moreI work nearby and all of my co-workers have been ranting about this new tex-mex place around the corner. I had to try it and I am so so so happy I did. This is now my top favorite place to eat. No more pondering on what to have for lunch.
Everything is fresh, flavorful and delicious. So far, I have had the chicken tacos, chorizo tacos and pastor tacos, garnished with fresh lettuce, chopped tomato, red onion, cilantro, shredded cheddar, drizzled with sourcream and hot salsa. I love spicy foods and their home-made hot salsa is where it's at. I look forward to trying everything on their menu. Don't forget to try their home made cookies before wrapping up your visit. Wow.
I want to thank these friendly owners for bringing such amazingness to the neighborhood.
Thank you...
