I want to like this place. Adrian's is the closest place to where I live that offers birria tacos and quesadillas. It's unfortunate that I hadn't been this quasi iconic restaurant before as it's been around, literally, for years. Even driving by the place it was always a thought of stopping in but almost immediately forgetting it's in the very small, busy shopping center, next to a Walmart. So I finally got the opportunity to try Adrian's and I am conflicted about the result. On one hand, this place is really cool. As you can see in the mural on the wall, and the restaurant itself, it's inviting, warm, cozy, clean, comfortable. I walk in and immediately wanted to come back in the future to have a drink and hang out! But I'm here for food. So I order a birria quesadilla to-go. You learn a lot by taking food away to eat it later. For one, it lets the ingredients come together over eating straight away. On the other hand, food like McDonald's fries get worse after just ten minutes out of the fryer. The order didn't take long and I noticed a few Door Dashers in and out as I waited. Means the food is good! What did I get for $12.99+ tax? What you see is what you get. One large flour tortilla filled with pork birria and cheese, folded in half and cut into 4 portions. Served with birria broth, two sauces, chop onion, cilantro, lime wedge, and pickled purple onion. The flavor was okay. The pork was a little tough. The grease hits pretty hard. Keep the birria broth, I wasn't a fan. - the dish itself was cooked well dispute the tougher meat. The two sauces were really great, flavorful, spicy! But the sauces were the highlight. This was not the best birria I've ever had and it's a little pricey but the 'heart' is in the right place. Will I do Adrian's again? Heck yes! I'm going to go and grab a drink and try something else on the menu! It's a place I don't want my 'less than' experience to hurt this place! I want Adrian's to succeed! It's a cool place and I definitely recommend trying it out!

Last night, I joined my cousins for their happy hour special, and let me tell you, it was an evening of flavor and fun. We kicked things off with Micheladas, those frosty mugs brimming with cerveza, lime, and a tangy, spicy secret blend. They were the perfect way to wash away the day's worries. Next up, the El Pastor and Super Adrian Tacos. Imagine tender pork marinated in achiote and pineapple, dancing on your tongue with every bite. Add to that the crunch of fresh onions and cilantro, the creamy avocado, and a squeeze of lime, and you've got taco nirvana. The Super Adrian, piled high with carne asada, chorizo, and al pastor, was a carnivore's dream come true. My younger cousin dove into the Tortas Birria, those melt-in-your-mouth stewed beef tortas dipped in rich, consomé broth. Each bite was a symphony of savory, tender beef, tangy onions, and the comforting warmth of the broth. And let's not forget the Elotes, those grilled ears of corn slathered in mayo, cotija cheese, and chili powder. Sweet, salty, spicy, and smoky, they were the perfect sweet ending to a savory feast. Throughout the night, the service was as warm and welcoming as the food itself. Our server, with a smile brighter than the fiesta lights, kept our drinks flowing and our laughter echoing. The atmosphere was electric, buzzing with happy chatter and the infectious rhythm of Latin music. Adrian's Mexican Street Food isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's a celebration of flavor, family, and friends. It's a taste of Mexico that lingers long after the last bite. You won't be disappointed

Maybe I just came at a bad time but my experience unfortunately was not good. I was greeted immediately walking to the door and my order was taken promptly. I ordered something off of their everyday special menu which was $8.99 leaving a 20% tip and I ordered it to go. I was told it would be about 5 minutes. However that turned out to be a total of 27 minutes until I received my food. I asked a young man who I assume was working behind the bar, if he could check on my food after 15 minutes. He walked off to check it but never came back with a response. I waited 10 more minutes and someone who I assume was the owner or manager walk through the front door. I was starting to get a little frustrated at this point, so I asked him if I could just get a refund because I needed to go. He told the waitress in Spanish, do you have this guy's food what's going on with it? Just then she was tying up the bag for me. He did Apologize but once I opened it to eat it in my car I figured out what happened. For whatever reason the waitress that took my order was outside doing stuff with somebody. My food was ready but was sitting and waiting to be boxed up. So by the time I got to it it was lukewarm and whatever meat was on the very top of the pile was room temperature. The person who was the owner or manager was very nice to me and I'm not sure why I personally received bad service since the other reviews seem to be pretty good.

This is a two-part review to highlight both of my recent visits. My very first visit in January was inspired by a video I had seen on Instagram. I ran into a few issues right away just trying to place an order over the phone. First off, despite selecting “English” on the automated system, I still got a Spanish speaking person. No big deal, but she gave me a hard time for asking if she spoke English and proceeded to attempt to take my order. I brushed it off and started telling her the order. I had originally planned to try several items, but after about 8-10 minutes of her telling me things were out of stock, I gave up and ended up just ordering two taco platters. Needless to say, they were delicious, the portions were great, and I had already planned to go back a second time.

Now here comes the reason why I’m giving 4 stars. In all fairness and despite the difficulties I faced just to place an order the first time, the overall quality of the food, ambiance and cleanliness of the location, and the warm welcome I received during my first experience were enough for me to give them a 5-star rating. However, my experience last night was not good. I placed my order online, which they use the company Toast for, and it was super fast and easy to do so. They even had an option to pick up curbside. When I arrived at the restaurant, I called the phone number to let them know I was there and once again had the same ‘selected the option for English and got a Spanish-only speaking only person.’ The difference this time is that she handed the phone to someone who spoke English. They may want to consider removing that option from the phone entirely, because you may start losing English-only speaking patrons. The lady whom took my call then tells me they don’t have my order. Uh-oh! Panic mode set in, because this time I ordered a lot more food and had already paid online. I then asked her to please check again using my last name and all of a sudden they had an order in my first name…umm, what? Anyway, phew. Next she tells me they don’t do curbside orders. I then politely asked if they would make an exception, because not only was I given that option online, but I also had my baby with me, whom was sleeping in the backseat. I would have had to cancel my order, because parents you know what it takes sometimes to get a baby to sleep on a long ride home. She then tells me they would make the exception and tells me that they did not have the Venezuelan fried cheese I ordered. Refund was not an option, so I was forced to pick something else that ended up not being good. My order was brought out and I drove home.

The last thing of this super lengthy review is the quality of the food during this second visit. Once I got home, and I only live 10 minutes away, not only were the avocados brown, but they were also rotten and the app I ended up being forced to take was nothing more than some low quality melted Velveeta style cheese and stale chips. Oh yeah, and my receipt says “curbside” on it in big bold letters.

I’m very disappointed with the way the second experience went and I’m not so sure if I would visit this location again. Not because of the food; it was amazing the first time, but because of the...

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I’ve been coming to Adrian’s once or twice EVERY week for about 2 months now. I always get the nachos Adrian’s. Today I stopped by to get an order to go, when I got my order I noticed my food was a little cold, but instead of causing any issues I decided to settle for it. After adding all of my toppings on and even putting the queso last, the meat was still extremely cold. Giving I topped my food off with cilantro, onions, etc. I could understand the food not being hot, but it definitely wasn’t warm either. I called and told them I’d be bringing the food in, he put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Upon entry, I had three women (employees) along with him staring at me like I was crazy. I explained the issue, thanked them and waited for my food. When the guy brought my food out they had put my queso in a way smaller container, gave me no toppings & no sauce which by the way is the complementary sauce… I asked him if I could get the same things I had the first time, he went in and my girlfriend went with him to grab it. After waiting about 5-10 minutes I went inside to see what was going on and my girlfriend told me that he was trying to charge her for the same toppings we always get for free with no problem up until I had a complaint about my food being cold.. I explained to him how I felt about it RESPECTFULLY AND POLITE. He proceeded to go talk to his other coworkers in another language, laughing. Instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt I left. I will not be coming to this Adrian’s here in Katy again, they have the worse customer service and are completely insensitive about their customers satisfaction. I was more than polite and respectful about the situation and was met with nothing...
