Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Katy

I just had the WORST service experiences with dominos EVER over the phone. My pizza said it was here. I live in an apartment so I like to make sure my driver gets into the gates and to my door without a hassle on their end. 15 minutes later it still wasn’t delivered so I called the dominos. Angel answered the phone on the location of 5603 Highway Blvd Katy, TX 77494 United States. All I said was “hey, I believe my order should’ve been delivered by now but it still isn’t at my door. Just making sure the driver isn’t waiting on me.” Angel decided to let me know that the driver was sent back to his store and he has to wait till two other orders go out till I get mine. I let him know that this doesn’t make too much sense to me because my driver was here at my house and now I have to wait until two more orders get picked up?” he slickly said “well I don’t need to explain the situation to you and you’ll get your order soon.” All I said was “okay I’ll speak with your manager then.” And then I hung up. After waiting another 30 minutes for my pizza a new driver showed up with an attitude for me to open my apartment gate. I gave her the gate code and when she came to my door my boyfriend asked her what happened since we assumed the driver that was here with our pizza had a situation accrue. Us being in the industry just wanted to know what actually happened since I know that they know that we know we saw our driver here at our apartments. She said “nothing happened, I’m just the only driver.” With a slick attitude. This all being said… my boyfriend and I have both worked in the service industry since we’ve been 14. Been coming here since I was young and used to be great but won't be coming back until new management. Walked in wondering what was taking so long for my order and a lady was angry and canceling her order and told me because they had a big order it was gonna be another 30 mins for everyone else. Guy at the counter just said my order wasn't ready and went back to stand next to the oven. I thought about cancelling like the lady did but wasn't in a hurry so figured I'd just wait. Went back to the car and about 30 mins later the app said it was ready. Went back in and I can see my order on the rack but nobody was there. Then another customer walks in who had been waiting also. The manager comes out the back and apologizes to him and gives him a free soda for the wait. I got skipped but I figured it's fine just a few more seconds and I get my pizza. Nope the manager goes back without even acknowledging me. I finally flag down another worker and point to my order on the shelf. He just holds up a finger for me to wait. A couple minutes later the manager comes back out and starts doing something on the register. I tell him that's my order right there. He hands me my order. No thank you, no sorry, nothing. I should have demanded a refund for that worst service in my life.

I was fine with the wait. But the lack of communication, getting skipped, no apology or even thanks, and then you made me wait there and waste an hour of my afternoon and then make me have to wait an extra 5 minutes for you to hand me a paid for pizza and cheesebread that I can see sitting on the rack crossed the line. Unbelievable. Called Pizza Hut on a whim. Was connected to a foreigner in a call center overseas. She was nice but after placing my small order, I was told there was a delivery wait of 1 hour and 30 minutes. She told me I could pick it up in 15, but I declined her offer. After saying goodbye while hanging up she is clinging to this sale for dear life and screams "wait sir!!!!" I called Dominos and a Gentlemen named Michael answered quicker than the call center. He took my order and offered me a special! All in all, he took less time, saved me money by offering a bundle, was extremely charismatic and the delivery time I quoted was 30 minutes. Why people call Pizza Rut is beyond me. It had been a while and I had moved to the area. I guess no matter where you go, getting a cold pie from them is the only guarantee. Once again, THANK YOU MICHAEL! The wife and I had been putting together furniture for the past few hours and forgot about dinner. Instead of eating tomorrow with Pizza Hut lackluster Delivery, ill be eating tonight with good ole' trusty Domino's.
