Good food, however, service is lacking. On a Monday night, very few customers in house. We had a table of eight. Our server dropped the tray with 2 meals. The two meals were replaced, but were8 not served until the entire table was done eating (at least 30 min). Owner sat at the bar talking to someone the entire time (he saw everything as our table was right in front of the bar). When someone from our table walked over to the bar to ask him about our food and other concerns, he never got up. After a while, the manager eventually came to our table and did try to salvage the experience for us. When we left, we asked to speak with the owner, who was still sitting at the bar, but when he came over to our table he was very flippant and argued with us. PS: we never asked for anything to be comped. Our complaint was how long it took to get the replacement meals (over 30 min). Additionally, the server that dropped the tray also served us a margarita rimmed in salt after we ordered no salt. When we brought it to her attention, she said she was sorry but did not offer to replace. My husband went ahead and drank it, but got a mouthful of salt if the straw was on the bottom of the glass. We just typically don't complain. We ate at this restaurant twice before, and on our first visit, the owner was very nice and asked us to bring our friends. So we did... twice more. But after his response on Monday night, we won't be back. PSS: just want to point out that the manager was very helpful and nice. He just engaged...

My recent visit was enhanced by the personal touch of the new owner, who warmly greeted us and ensured that our experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Upon entering, the lively ambiance welcomed us, infused with authentic Mexican decor that immediately set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The attentive staff mirrored the owner’s commitment to excellent service, making all guests feel valued.
The menu remains a treasure trove of traditional Mexican cuisine. I savored the beef fajitas, which were expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. My family enjoyed the tacos, quesadillas and the carne asada - each dish was met with enthusiastic approval, showcasing the quality of fresh ingredients and careful preparation.
A standout feature of La Cantina is its playground for children aged eight and under. This thoughtful touch allows parents to relax and enjoy their meals while knowing that their little ones are entertained in a safe, fun environment.
La Cantina Mexican Restaurant is more than just a dining destination; it’s a community venue that fosters connection through great food and excellent service. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone in search of a welcoming atmosphere, exceptional cuisine, and genuine hospitality.

Read moreWe decided to come and try The Cantina off of FM 1093 which used to be La Finca. We came on a Sunday after church and tried the buffet. It was delicious! They had a delicious variety spread from breakfast, chicharrones, flautas to menudo and pozole! I didn’t try everything but what I did try was delictable. The service was amazing. I have never be waited on with such atención. There is even a playground which comes in handy for the active kids which I have one. Even my 6 yr old loved the place and complemented the food. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, service and quality of the food. I strongly recommend that you bring your family here and see for yourself. Almost forgot you can also order off menu. If they don’t have it on the buffet they will make it for you! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Trust me, come see for yourself! You...
