It was my 1st time visiting since I am Puertorican and was excited to try the food. When I arrived the place was packed and with good vibe within all the customers sitting and eating with their families which I truly enjoyed observing. When I arrived I was ordering a to go order. A female attended me and she was very kind and took my order. I ordered the chicken lo mein and tostones. The tostones were excellent and the mayo ketchup. The Chicken lo mein was looking great but was bland in terms of taste. There was very little flavor in it or none at all. My honest opinion.
Again, it was my 1st time visiting so I did not look at the menu in full while there. I waited and everything was fine. The order was given to by a young male who was also very respectful and kind. However I saw the drinks they had and decided to order again a Tamarindo juice and two vanilla 🍮 The Tamarindo juice was okay, and the vanilla 🍮 barely had any flavor. It was bland. There where two males in the kitchen cooking and one of them raised his voice and I believe told the guy taking care of me to stop either talking and take orders or something along those routs. I didn’t see that as a kind thing to do when I was sincerely asking for something more right before leaving the place.
That was very rude and unnecessary. It’s poor customer service on behalf of that gentleman behind the kitchen who may well be the manager or owner. I do not Know, but still🙏 It was unkind when I was just a customer supporting their business. What he did ruined the great service I received from both the male and female in the front. I wanted to point out. The place was very clean and the decor...
Read moreMy first time trying Puerto Rican and Chinese food! My friend strongly recommended this place. He’s Puerto Rican and I’m Chinese so it was the perfect fusion spot for us! He’s been here regularly and no matter the distance (it was about 45-50 min drive) he said it’s worth it! We came here on Monday, July 1st around 5pm. The restaurant is very clean, bright and colorful. You order at the counter. My friend ordered us: 2 piece fried chicken with fried rice (chicken was super crispy, well seasoned and rice was fluffy and light in savory), Carne Frita (the pork was marinated and fried to perfection! The side of fried plantains was airy crispy and tender on the inside), and the Garlic Shrimp with Mofongo (This was my favorite! The shrimp with plump with lots of garlic and onions. The Mofongo was delicious, fluffy, savory -had bits of pork grinds mixed in) Everything had the wok hay flavor.. if you know, you know.. this is what makes good Chinese food. I loved the two sauces that came with everything, the garlic butter enhanced everything and the Mayo mixed sauce was a great addition to every item. What a stellar combination of two cultures. I can’t believe I’m just discovering this place....
Read moreMy family and I really want to try this place. We ordered online and Doordash messed up with our order and never delivered I understand this was not a restaurant mistake however when we called to cancel the order they had a really bad system they couldn't find out our order and there was a bad miscommunication between the employees and management, as up today we still haven't received our refund. Even with this incident we ended up driving to this location to try their food another day. We ordered general tso's chicken with rice the flavor was good and the portions were reasonable, the lo-mein and the mofongo were dry and not much flavor. The presentation of the food was definitely what I was expecting. When you go out to eat at a "restaurant" you at least look for a decent presentation of a plate and proper silverware; and not to have the feeling that you are eating at a food court. The location of the restaurant has a big dumpster right in front that makes the appeal of the whole shopping plaza look trashy. For the price of the food you can definitely find better options elsewhere. Unfortunately I would not come back nor...
