Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Katy

The Waitress we got was probably new? She was an older blonde woman in her late 50s to early 60s? She didn't say any word to us, just stared and waited for us to say something....so we ordered our drinks... She immediately asked if we have a particular favorite? I just said, we still want a few minutes to look through the Menu. She left. She was chatting with family next to of us for a long time, until she got our drinks, so we were ready to order. She wrote down our order, left. She chatted again with the family, this time for a long time. Only came once to look at our table, didn't say a word but we said, "WE WANT REFILL PLEASE THANKS." Just stared at us and we had to tell her what's our drinks. I felt uneasy having her as our Waiter at that moment. She came back with our drinks. A few moment later our sides, my Boyfriend, pointed to her that I have the soup and he has the salad...she said OK...and still gave him my soup! She started grating the cheese but stopped and then mumbled and spilled cheese on floor. Me and my Boyfriend got confused.

Maybe about 20 mins later she came out with our food. We had to tell her who has who. Before she was about to leave...we had to tell her...CAN WE HAVE CHEESE?!? She said OK.

Shebwent back to kitchen for the cheese, thus time she did only stopped when we told her to stop grating the cheese.

She came back maybe 10 mins later to tell my boyfriend, "You're going to have to tell us how is that, it's new in our menu." We were just too stunned and weirded out ny her behavior that we didn't say anything to her.

She came back maybe 15 mins later to ask my Boyfriend about the food, he said, "It probably would've been better if it had some sweet cherry tomatoes? Like the Picture? She looked at the picture and she said, she wasn't aware.

She had paid a lot of attention to my Boyfriend and didn't bother with me and she had no idea, I AM LAYING FOR OUR MEAL! I was not happy with her so her TIP reflected on how I felt.

We passed by her, she didn't say anything so I was satisfied that I tipped her accordingly which is hardly anything to be honest, we questioned her behavior...do we look intimidating? Is it because my boyfriend is black? Is it because we're young couple? Who knows.

Normally, I'm a generous tipper, even my boyfriend says I do it too much but, thanks to the weird waitress at this particular Olive Garden, I saved money! We're not going to be visiting this Olive Garden for awhile, if we do, I don't recommend the...

THIS IS BY FAR !!!! THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAVE AT OLIVE GARDEN. BAD FOOD QUALITY, INEXPERIENCED SERVER NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND TO TOP IT OFF THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND CARELESS MANAGER ( Kian d. M.) Let me start with my appetizer I ordered a fry calamari!!! OMG cheese worst and most disgusting I ever have, super overcooked, burn rubbery dry and I can tell they have a change the OIL in weeks, now when it comes to the server I have to remind him for soups refills, drinks refills and when finally he ask how was everything after 15 or 20 minutes we got our meal I told him about the appetizer how bad it was an share the details, this is exactly what he said, thanks for letting me know i will tell the cooks, after that never came back not even to check if anything else was needed, nor come or desert etc. Etc. Also I noticed they don't have a team service the other staff don't care about other servers tables, it is super bad level of customer service in this establishment and I understand why because star from the top ( management) it is sad and dessapointed the lack of service and food quality, so we just decided to get up and leave since the server never came back and I know he didn't deserve the 15% tip I was still generous to leave but I don't think is his fault when the manager never came and checked on any tables and let's not even tock about her appearance!!!☹️ ppl don't dress properly as manager now i remember before you can tell who was the manager because they always dres properly and professional, this is not the case anymore and as I was leaving i sew her sitting down in the waiting area bench for customer and complaining and Wayning about it believe work or shift or maybe everything in general 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ so as I was leaving i didn't know she was the manager of tough she was a host, so I proceed to share my awful experience with her and told her how sad and dessapoint I was because I told her I have work in the food and restaurant industry for a very very long time and this is what she said ohhhh I wish I would to know dud!!!!! and I say I you would be doing your Job as a manager and check on tables just like your survey sak to do right after you pay you would know!!!!! Hellooooo🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ And after that she said whatever dud and this is why a comment at the beginning of my review starts from the top. So this is my ratings for this OLIVE GARDEN Location on 21220 Katy Freeway 👎👎👎👎👎 i miss the old good days of...

Update 07/2024 My wife & I were seated immediately & our waitress said she was working the floor for the very 1st time without her trainer, nevertheless we started by ordering 2 cocktails, and also placed/ordered 2 plates (lunch portions), as well as all you can eat salad & breadsticks. Our 2 cocktails came 1st, and after my 1st sip, I noticed something floating in my drink and sent it back to be remade. My drink came back in no time along with our salad. After eating our salad our waitress brought our food out and I mentioned to her she never gave us our breadsticks, which she apologized for (still ok). Then as we finished our salad we started to eat our food (plates) and we noticed after starting to begin eating our food these 2 plates were not the lunch potions they were the dinner portions, when our waitress came back around we reminded her they were supposed to be lunch portions and remembered yes we did Request lunch portions. She told us to go ahead and she would adjust the ticket, two minutes later a Service Mgr. came and asked us what happened and asked if she could fixed this for us, so and then I asked her what, what she meant by fixing it means, at this point she actually retrieved both of our plates off our table (already eaten) plates just to bring us 2 different plates, (who does this) what a waste of food just to throw 2 plates in the garbage to bring out 2 more plates. Nevertheless after our two other plates came out , my appetite was spoiled (took it home to eat it later) and had a horrible experience. The manager (Able) came out afterwards and apologized gave us an adjusted ticket and gave us a (Wow) $15.00 gift certificate. We'll probably go back at some point but not right away, and probably visit another location even though we live in Katy, Tx... go figure!

Update: 05-20-21 Thu. 3pm 21220 Katy Frwy. location. As we entered we were seated immediately. Our Server"Austin" was excellent, salad was fresh, bread stick hot. Our Shrimp Fettuccini and Chicken Fettuccine was served promptly hot and fresh. Our Server Austin was attentive, and very personable. I would definitely recommend this place/location...
