Good food certainly not Hawaiian food but it’s good. Owners are not Hawaiian it’s a franchise from Cali. Seems a bit chaotic in the atmosphere between chef and manager/ owner.
The nice gentleman told me not to tip them. Seems kinda sad honestly cause he was very polite and had good manners.
Other than that the tables kinda suck cause they were really hard to sit on and enjoy the food. The restaurant has lovely colors. Very vibrant atmosphere. I wish they would install a big display tv to watch the games or news. It’s kinda boring if you come in by yourself.
Expect to pay around 20 dollars per meal including the drinks.
He apologized for raising the prices because of inflation. The gentleman is way better than the girl who I met later during the week.
Very rude behavior from her. She has long black hair and long fake nails which is against the health code. Talks in a very respectful manner.
They need to find a way to serve fresh fruits like pineapple and other drinks. 3 dollars for a can drink is very unreasonable and unappealing. I live close by so I’ll probably be a regular customer. Katsu chicken was very good. I don’t recommend getting the bbq chicken in the morning because they seem to serve the old chicken from the day before. The teriyaki chicken is bbq chicken but with a lot of sauce. Substitute the cabbage for extra rice and substitute the other rice for extra macaroni salad. The pork was too greasy for my liking but maybe it’s was just a bad day.
The gentleman said if they cook it the same day it tastes really good but they prep it once a week and just reheat it throughout the week. So that was a bummer.
The lumpia was ok not my cup of tea. Tasted like shrimp base.
The crab Rangoon is just cheese puffs without any crab meat. They use artificial crab meat to add flavor. The new dessert is...
Read moreOverhyped Chinese food. Like literally you can get the lumpia and Hawaiian drinks from 99 Asian food market. The only two things that are worth it is the japanese style chicken katsu the katsu sauce and the mac salad. The problem is that they change ownership so the sauce is not the same as before and the chicken keeps coming raw or spoiled at times. The hispanic chubby cashier with long black hair is not friendly. The chairs are extremely hard especially if you have back pain. The restrooms smell a lot like asian restaurants that have sewage backing up. It's a bit expensive do not go in the morning when they open they will serve you last night's food. It takes about 40 minutes for a order to be completed. Always ask for your sauce cause they are stingy with the sauce and now trying to charge for it. They change beef suppliers for the ribs and the burgers patties it taste awful honestly speaking. Last time I went to grab garlic shrimp I got a really bad stomach infection. It very sad that this company is falling apart. Use to be really good when the other Hispanic tall chasier was here he would give us extra sauce when requested and would always provide ice and water cups even if we didn't ask. He knew is by name and would chat about how we were doing. He had a extensive knowledge of the menu and would recommend dishes base on preference. He even gave us coupons to always come back to the store. He said that why target new customers yet we forget about our loyal customers. I had so many points with the star machine yet they took it away and I never got a chance to redeem them. They will no longer honor the point system . Honestly speaking just stay...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this restaurant. I noticed the restaurant from major roadway. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, and the taste. I haven't had many Hawaiian dishes but I have tried them in the Hawaiian islands.I found this restaurant's food to be comparable to the islands. The kalua pork was very moist and delicious with a hint of smoke. I then tried the Hawaiian barbecue plate which is a great starter if your new to the restaurant. The plate provides a sampling of most of the main menu meat's. The teriyaki chicken was full of flavor, the teriyaki was quite pronounced, in a positive way. The plate also offered the thin cut beef and thin cut short ribs. The two meat's were tender and had a good amount of that teriyaki flavor. The plate is served with Hawaiian macaroni salad and white rice. The macaroni salad was very tasty and delicious but you could op for vegetables instead. The menus offers a great variety of options. The meats can be purchased as a side instead of a full meal, for a lighter option. The restaurant has ample seating and parking. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu items. While waiting for my order there were nice Hawaiian tunes playing in the background giving you that Hawaiian feel. I would recommend this location and looking forward to trying some of the...
