This is very frustrating experience with this company. I encountered an issue with a piece of furniture that arrived broken, and I order extra slacks and I was repeatedly told that it was on backorder. After weeks of waiting, I attempted to address the matter directly with the company, but the staff was uncooperative.today When I asked to speak to the owner, Samir I was met with rude behavior, including an employee, Jennifer, closing the office door in my face. It felt as though they were avoiding accountability and hiding the true person in charge.The lack of transparency, unprofessional attitude, and refusal to resolve my issue left me deeply dissatisfied. Four years is an unreasonable delay for fulfilling this commitment, and I was repeatedly assured during my visits and calls that the missing parts would arrive.While I understand the manufacturer’s policies, the issue at hand is not just wear and tear but also the prolonged delay and inconsistent communication from your end. I had to spend more money to rent a truck and drive the furniture back to their store after being told all they would do is either fix the broken furniture they sold me or replace it. All sales are final even if they sell you broken furniture.
After 3 weeks of waiting for the repaired furniture to be back at the store for me to pick up. No one ever called to give me any updates during this time. I had to call every couple of days to figure out what was going on with the returned items. I was told this past Wednesday that my items would be available for pickup Friday after 9am. Now today I’ve had to spend even more money to rent yet another truck to go and pick up the furniture. I’ve scheduled and paid for movers to unload and assemble the furniture this morning. I just called Katy Furniture before leaving the moving truck dispatch location to confirm my items were ready and was told they MAY be available today after 4 pm. The furniture was not ready for pick up after 4 pm that day.
2 more weeks go by, I had to spend more money renting yet another moving truck to go and get the furniture for the 3rd time. Over $600 in trucks, gas, and paying movers so far. Get the store. Load the furniture and find that the dresser and night stand are broken in the EXACT same spots as the pieces that I dropped off a few weeks ago. They are offering no type of resolution for this nor any compensation for any of the inconvenience that has come with me spending my money with these people. The office manager is apparently the only point of contact and is doing all the speaking for the owners and investors of this shady business. Completely unethical practices and policies, selling cheap and broken furniture.

I ordered a leather sofa and love seat set from Katy Furniture, and on two separate occasions, a delivery attempt was made with damaged merchandise. The first set had a number written on it, several scratches, and the arm was worn as if someone had been sitting on it. The second delivered set had a heat patch as if the sofa had been repaired. On both occasions, the delivery team called the office and I was encouraged to accept the damaged/used-looking furniture and “deal with customer service later.” I did the opposite and refused the deliveries.
After many visits to the store where I had to deal with the rude customer service team (Stephanie, Nuvia, and Jennifer), I received no satisfaction. My emails and certified letter were ignored, and my phone calls were either sent to voicemail or the other location. After 60 days had passed, I even asked to speak to the store owner, Samira, but was refused. I was offered a 75% refund, and they would charge 25% for a restock fee. They never delivered me a new sofa set—the nerve!
On a separate occasion, I attempted to make a warranty claim for a mattress, and for 8 months, I was given the runaround.
This left me with no choice but to file a lawsuit against Katy Furniture. I SUED, and I WON! Even after seeing all of my evidence, Samira’s defense was, “I signed the contract.” Katy Furniture never met their contractual obligations, and they should all be ashamed to sell merchandise in poor condition and title it as “new!”
After the judge ruled against Katy Furniture, I still wasn’t paid immediately. The owner's lack of conflict resolution, how she responded during court, the amount of time she held on to my money, and the time it took her to pay me after the judgment lacks character and are indicative of the type of business she is running!
