Howdy Homemade Ice Cream Katy — Restaurant in Texas

I really don't enjoy writing negative reviews but this can't be ignored. My son (2 yrs old) and I went last week for the first time as soon as they opened. We were the only customers and received great service. Next to the check out register they have a bookshelf full of puzzles, toys, books and games. My son wanted to play with a Tiger Puzzle and I grabbed it and took it to our table. A few minutes later, my husband joined us and also purchased an ice cream for himself. We stayed for about 30 mins eating and playing with the checkers and puzzle. Once we were done I placed the Tiger Puzzle back on the bookshelf and waved goodbye to the staff and walked out. A few minutes later, my husband and I were walking back to our separate cars and he was being chased down by one of the employees questioning him IF HE TOOK THE PUZZLE! MY husband was holding my son and was confused and taken back by the accusation. THEN the manager steps out of the establishment and gives the worker a "thumbs up" as a confirmation she found the puzzle on the bookshelf. The employee RAN out and chased down my husband for a $3 puzzle? Are you serious. Putting his safety at risk. Accusing my husband and why not me? That's my question. Was it because my husband is 6 foot and dark skin?

We will not be returning and will share our first visit experience with our friends...

This place is spectacular 🙌🏾. The staff are so kind, patient and helpful. They truly love what they do and so grateful for every customer. They're passion for helping others with disabilities is so moving and wonderful. Now the ice cream 🍦 😋 😍 👌🏽 😌 ☺️ 💯🔥🎉👏🏽 OUTSTANDING! The Dr. Pepper ice cream has chocolate chips in it and the Frozen Hot chocolate flavor is the truest description there is-it legit taste like hot chocolate. I can't decide which one of them is my favorite. I had to get 2 scoops one of each-I regret nothing. Also honorable mention to the Pina colda sorbet, it's ultra refreshing and I don't even like coconut like that. I'm coming back for that one.
