Okay, I'm leaving this review as a frequent visitor and might even say regular because I read a review that was, beyond a fiction novel author's pov. I frequent this establishment at least every Sunday and always 15-30 minutes before last call 1. You know who I am. 👀 2. Highly DO NOT recommend this practice - however, they greet me with a smile knowing what I'm there for, have my drink made before I ask for it, and ask if I want my salad and pizza... and I'm out the door. Yes, Jules, I'm talking about you. She/they don't do this because I'm a "regular", I'm a regular because they do this! So now that we have supreme customer service out the way - even before their beautiful and incredible expansion... where on island it takes forever-and-a-day to complete ANY construction, they delivered an amazing expansion in a reasonable amount of time for a bar that was, before, small to say the least and yet is now THE BEST. As a person who advocates them in my profession and daily life, I tell my clients and friends alike that their whiskey/bourbon/alcohol selection is akin to Belle's library dreams-ladder included. The recipes are curated from 100% authentic Italian recipes, made from scratch pizza dough with homemade REAL mozzarella cheese. Did I mention they use local produce? I know, I buried the lead on that one. Anything local gets my vote 🗳. They also have rotating weekly specials along with happy hour, wine night, etc. Their staff has a trained sommelier to come in and train them on their food and beverage knowledge. To say they're doing too much is an understatement. As a reviewer who has a decent amount of traction,
"Hear ye, hear ye! Do not let the negative reviews of Google besmirch thy great name and brand of Bobby V's or BV's Bourbon and Ale House! Come one, come all and delight in the debonaire, delectable, devine, and delicious dishes they so delicately...
Read moreWe went there on the last day of our vacation just before the flight, and what ruined our experience is missed expectations.
The waiter gave a 2 minute sales speech on how unique everything is, that all sauces are home made, and especially unique is thin crust pizza that we must taste.
We weren't much into pizza and were going to order pasta and eggplant but I could imagine a really nice pizza if it gets so much praise, so we asked if we could have a half. A waiter said they don't do halves, so I had to buy a full pizza ($22 plus tax plus tip or $19 if I go for small size). We decided to eat half a pizza and take the other half "to go".
Well, everything was just OK, just about the same taste you get if you cook it yourself and mix things up with a cheap sauce from Safeway. Pizza was average american pizza, nothing fancy or "Italian", it's was burning hot because they put too much sauce, a common mistake with average grade american pizzas.
Pasta was also "eatable". I didn't notice the expected alfredo sauce but I allow the possibility that they mixed some alfredo into a red tomato sauce. Nothing fancy about eggplant meal too.
We were disappointed for being tricked into buying a pizza that we didn't really need, and which wasn't anything better than the cheapest pizza you can find elsewhere. If not the waiter's salespitch, we'd not order it, and I would leave a 3 star rating as it was really OK but nothing fancy.
We were also disappointed by getting barely warm drip coffee, and after I asked for a hotter one, we got barely hotter, but still kinda warm.
Definitely do not recommend, as you can't trust...
Read moreWas really hoping to love this place but had an odd experience. We had 4 adults in our party and only one was pleased with their order due to lack of flavor plus lack of communication from the servers. One person in our group ordered the mahi. The menu clearly stated it was served with rice and pesto pasta salad. When it came out, the side was kimchi (unexpected and not liked). I'll spare all the back and forth details and leave it with they were trying to push a freebie on us that we didn't want (more drinks or dessert) we were basically done with our meals when she mentioned this, already had 2 drinks and didn't want a sweet. So, we unknowingly forfeited a credit by declining that offer since they didn't actually credit anything off the bill. ** The food was subpar at best, especially with the kimchi mix-up. Only 1 of 4 people were pleased with their meals. In short, lack of flavor and promised ingredients. *Bread is the side for all pasta dishes. We had to ask twice and it didn't come out until after we were done eating. **Our waitress was great in the beginning but it was evident that she was frustrated with us towards the end of our meal for just inquiring and trying to get things straight. I watched her walk to the back and clearly started talking about our table with other staff as they turned to stare at us. *It's mother's day, my very first mother's day. My baby was with me (clearly a mom) and we watched them pass out roses to every other table but ours. Overall, just bummed with...
