JoJo's Shave Ice — Restaurant in Kauai

Horrible customer service at this location but but best shave I have had on the Hawaiian Islands . Much better than even the most famous place on the Northshore on Oahu! The Tropical Breeze shave ice has so many layers of flavors instead of just bland ice and sugar syrup. Tropical Breeze was Lillikoi (passion fruit), Guava and Mango over shaved ice, coconut cream and Macadamia nut ice cream . The issue is I saw a customer waiting over 30 minutes and when the customer saw everyone else getting their shave ice, she asked the store worker. The worker admitted she called out the wrong name and after 15 minutes threw out the shave ice . The only think that she could do is put them in the front of the line if they ordered and paid again. Very disturbing to watch. To call out “Katie“ when the customer’s name is Kayla and the customer is sitting right in front for 30 minutes. Store wasn’t crazy busy either . So now the customer has to fork over another $20 for shave ice - total $40 or so for a couple of shave ice due to...

Sadly, after many visits to Jojo's-and having nothing but a fantastic experience-We had a less than satisfactory experience. There was one girl working in the shop. She didn't engage us at all, just took our order and five people behind us, then started making the shave ice. We always get the same flavor, so we know what they should be like. There was nowhere near enough syrup and cream-mostly ice. I went to the counter and ask for more, she reluctantly put on. As she walked away, I asked if they had any more napkins (the dispenser was out. She said, yes, but didn't provide them. During this time, a second employee came in. I asked him about napkins. He sat them in front of me without any interaction. We never received a welcome or a thank you. We felt like we were interrupting their personal time. Please talk to the crew at this location. Just rude front desk girl, stood there for 10 min a ft away being absolutely ignored as the 3 teens chatted amongst them selfs all standing at the front desk, I typically don’t leave reviews but was shocked at how immature the staff is with no supervision. I think the children may own it, or the owner is that aside his business to train etiquette to employees in arguably the most tourist trafficked spot. Pretty amazing tbh, ended up ordering after I initiated the order politely after 20min with no one in line but myself, it tasted terrible I took maybe half a bite and threw it away and than walked to hibiscus sweet kauai and had great service and was walked thru the whole menu without even asking, would definitely recommend hibiscus sweet kauai located directly across from this place. I think giving kids a job is cool, but I think giving children service etiquette will take them...
