Lina's Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Kearney

I've actually lived really close to the Mexican border in Texas before where there's lots of Mexican culture and food, this is one of the best places you can get if you're looking for that home brew mom and pop Mexican food. That's not to say there aren't some other good little hidden gems here in Kearney or other little small towns, but Lina's is always a solid choice.

They don't put on any fake customer service face but they're pretty genuine overall, I've never had an unpleasant interaction at Lina's. That's not to say they're not friendly either. It more seems that they don't know how to talk to some folks because of the language barrier, so for folks that want to demand that anyone in public speak English, Go somewhere else they don't deserve your rudeness.

At Lina's you absolutely get your bang for buck when it comes to the sides and burritos, the breakfast burritos are great though. Very heavy because they're loaded with sausage, potato and eggs, so in other words, if you're looking for a light breakfast this might not be your go-to shop. The churros are amazing, the barbacoa is pretty good though sometimes it doesn't get shredded up as good as it should. The fries do leave a little something to be desired, but overall in my experience any side you buy here you're going to get your money's worth. The sauces are pretty good but just keep in mind if you are a sauce order like me, you're going to want to fridge them because they do not stay good at room temp.

I give him a very well deserved four-star rating and I encourage folks reading this to check them out because they're a local business based here in Nebraska and we should always support our local businesses, they'll take care of us if we take care of them.

Omg! I have ate at many Mexican restaurants and when I tell you Linas is the best of the best that's what I mean! We were traveling from Illinois to Colorado and decided to stop at Linas for dinner. At first glance of the menu and prices I thought it was a bit pricey until I received my food!! I thought it was just another taco bell but hell no!! They give you enough food for two meals easily. Big huge portions!! The beans was delicious however the red rice was very bland, my steak fajitas however were top notch the best of the best. I highly recommend linas Mexican. In fact on the way from Colorado I stopped at linas again. Lol. We don't have linas in Illinois so I had to get my fix. I don't know who the manager was that day but he was very very nice and took time out to have a conversation with us. Thank you linas if ever I'm that way again plan...

Looks closed but stays busy and you can smell the delicious aroma of the food. Friendly and helpful staff that go beyond the call of duty to accommodate your order to perfect. The taste of the food is fresh and full of flavor. I tried a large cucumber and lime drink without ice and got a cup of ice to water it down, a little sweet but incredibly delicious and refreshing.
