Loveeeee! We waited so long for this ice cream shop to open up and finally made our visit in today. It’s conveniently located in a very walkable area in downtown Kennesaw. Huge parking lot. The window front is small but once you walk in, the space is huge! They have booth seating, tabletop seating, and even a small loungey space with couch and two chairs. They even have a bookshelf with many books and board games for customers! The colorful murals and wall decor is so fun - Instagram-worthy for sure. It’s such a colorful space and feels so cheerful. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by two employees from the front counter. I didn’t realize they had so much to offer! Such a large variety of items on their menu. I thought it was just churros and ice cream but they actually have coffee (hot and cold lattes), concha ice cream sandwiches, tons of paletas (popsicles), ice cream (cake cones, waffle cones, cups), mangoladas (we tried both the mango and mango lime! So good!), and more! I tried the original churro (plain) and wow!!! It hit the spot! Fresh and hot, light and slightly doughy in the middle. Perfection! A bit pricey ($3.95?) but wow totally worth it! I can’t wait to go back for them! I also tried the Horchata latte hot and oh my goodness - delicious. They had so many fun flavors that I cannot wait to try (definitely cookie butter and La Fresita chai). I also want to try their esquites with hot Cheetos. Customer service was excellent - a sweet young lady assisted us and she was very welcoming. So helpful. They gave us a place card for our table (it was a Loteria card! So fun!) and said they would bring it out to us. We were a group of 8 (with 4 small kids) and there was plenty of space for us. And let me tell you, a ton of customers came in directly after us and it was pretty busy but we still received our treats in a decent amount of time. They do have a rewards program where you can earn goodies. My kids discovered a gigantic chalk board in the back hallway with baskets of chalk and they immediately started coloring! Absolutely recommend and I’m super excited to finally have this cute shop close by! I can’t wait to...
Read moreI went here because I wanted to try a new sweet treat for my birthday, and the churros from Dulce Canela hit the spot! We ordered a 6-count of the original and 1 strawberry-filled churro. We also ordered the dulce de leche and chocolate dipping sauces. The churros came out hot and fresh. They had the perfect amount of sugar and tasted handmade, not frozen or preformed. We also ordered a mangonada, which was perfectly prepared and delicious. The space was large, clean, and relaxed. The service staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, we really enjoyed the churros and will definitely return. My only critique was that the chocolate sauce seemed to be just standard Hershey’s sauce or something similar. If you’re expecting a thick Iberian-style or Mexican chocolate sauce, you’ll be disappointed. However, the dulce de...
Read moreWe were excited to try this place. Almost 80° inside seemed excessive. We were in line and looking at the ice cream selections. When it was our turn, the young lady at the register decided we weren't actually next and instead helped the couple that had literally just walked in the door. When we were able to order she said "what do you want". Interesting.
After we ordered, we sat down and another young lady brought our items over and darn near threw them on the table. I'm guessing the 20% tip i left wasn't enough to get actually good service from anyone. My apologies.
The ice cream itself was below average, Scoops in acworth is far better. The churros were delicious and definitely worth having again. My son ordered a $9 shake and it was more milk than actual ice cream.
Not sure this place is worth...
