The young person who answered the phone should probably reconsider working in customer service.
I placed my order at 4:11 PM with an estimated arrival of 5:11 PM. When I called at 5:27 PM, I was told it had been picked up “10 minutes ago” and was on its way. Oddly enough, at 5:55 PM, I received an email stating the order had just been picked up.
By 7 PM, we had been waiting nearly three hours and still never received our food. We called three separate times and were met each time with zero apology or effort to involve a manager by this little snarky girl—just dismissive attitude and a condescending, “We don’t know what happens after pick-up.”
We were honestly shocked at the complete lack of customer service or accountability. No one seemed to care where our order was or make any effort to resolve the situation. Is there truly no system in place to track orders once they leave your business through your website? It’s incredibly baffling—hopefully Javier enjoyed the dinner that was meant for us.
I understand you use third-party delivery, but that doesn’t excuse the complete lack of accountability—or the misinformation. If someone had simply apologized instead of becoming defensive and argumentative, I might have been more understanding. I myself own a salon business employing 30 people and I would terminate anyone who talks to our customers like this.
Jason the manager was nice and apologetic but I only got my apology after calling for the fourth time. I just wanted my refund processed.
Unfortunately, with service like this, I won’t be...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of hosting both our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch at Giordano’s in Kennett Square — and from the very first phone call, we knew we were in good hands.
As the parents of the groom, my husband and I met with Jason, the General Manager, to explore the possibility of hosting our events at the restaurant. From the moment we walked in, Jason — a true class act — made us feel welcome and at ease. He treated us to our favorite drinks, and the bartender even remembered them when we returned for the events! We also had the most delicious mushroom soup I’ve ever tasted, along with a few appetizers that sealed the deal. The food was just as impressive as the hospitality, and we knew right away this was the perfect place.
On Friday, July 18th, we hosted the rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and several out-of-town guests. Giordano’s provided a private space, a dedicated bar, and a buffet that was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch — professional, thoughtful, and personal.
In preparation for the weekend, Jason even let us sample the French toast in advance — and it was so good, we immediately decided to return for the post-wedding brunch. That event was just as lovely and well executed.
We’re so grateful to Jason and the entire Giordano’s team for helping us create a beautiful, memorable celebration. We highly recommend this gem for any special event — or just a cozy meal with...
Read moreGiordano's was always an occasional go-to especially around the holidays. I found myself in town last night and decided to go for old time's sake. The food was fairly good, albeit the prices have gone up exorbitantly. Not that they're break-your-bank prices per se, but let's just say I wouldn't ordinarily spend $16 for spaghetti and meatballs that were good but certainly not particularly noteworthy. Service was particularly lackluster. Our waiter was kind but somewhat inattentive. Their signature tomato bread used to come gratis, now it is $5. That said, the menu says it comes with the pasta dishes. I did not receive bread. Our waiter did not offer coffee or dessert before handing us the check. That stood out as particularly unnerving as it was still early in the evening. Perhaps we were his last table of the evening. I noticed that we waited twenty minutes for an available table only to then get sat and notice the restaurant had about ten or so empty tables. They were scattered throughout the dining room so it was not apparent that it was because a large party was being sat, rather, it appeared that the dining room was largely-vacant as a result of being short-staffed (and on a Friday night whereas I would be more understanding perchance it were...
