Very offended. Wonderful food and drinks. TERRIBLE SERVICE (except the sushi bar guy, Jo). We received our bill and saw our drinks were happy hour price and asked to order another round. A few minutes later our waitress returned without our drinks, but with a new ticket to say it’s not happy hour and that the computer was wrong. After we pointed out the error they’re computer made, they wanted to charge us more and serve us less. Had we payed the bill without trying to give them more of our business, the error would have gone unnoticed. We asked to speak to the manager, and found out she should not be in the customer service industry. Ari approached us seeping attitude. She argued with us until it lead to us asking for her to call the owner. She lied to us several times first telling us that he was coming in. We told her we’d wait. Then, after 15mins, she comes back to tell us that he’s not coming because he’s in Houston. After, Ari sent her friend Alley to bring us the more expensive ticket telling us “you have to pay this price.” When we asked for the owners number, Alley tells us that she doesn’t have it because “they only communicate through Facebook.” After 30 mins they ended up giving us the cheeper price. During the entire instance we remained calm but Ari let her attitude rule her and forgot the fundament rule that “the customer is always right.” She continued to repeat that “I told you before that it’s not happy hour for those drinks.” I understand that it is a computer error and at no point did we try to place the blame one an individual, but We should not be punished and forced to correct the error of their computer. In addition, if the employees knew the computer has been charging the drinks wrong for weeks then again it is not our fault that they haven’t corrected a known error. After we payed, we requested the manager Ari to write down her name. She threw a “no” over her shoulder as she stormed into the kitchen and refused to come back out again. Immature, rude, and offensive. The establishment has great food but needs to reevaluate the conduct of their staff because it’s a shame that the service diminishes...
Read moreWe dine here everytime we visit the area. We always do the hibachi table when we eat here. The food is always amazing and the kids always enjoy the show. We've never had any issues or complaints here....until this time. I requested for my receipt to be sent to me after I paid our tab. Our server didn't let us see it prior to us paying, my fault for not asking. Upon receiving my receipt after paying the tab and leaving a tip, I noticed our server put an automatic charge for 18% gratuity on our bill for parties of 6 or more, but there were only 3 in our party. So our server received an automatic 18% gratuity plus I had also left him a tip because I was never told he added it to our check in the first place. He didn't let us see the bill prior to running our payment, only told me the total amount and ran my card. I spoke to the manager and he stated he would fix it, but the full amount went through my bank, it was never corrected. I asked him how would the 18% gratuity be added on there automatically for our party if we only had 3 in our party? Looks like the server put the whole hibachi table, which was 8 people, on one tab and then split the check at the end when it was time for all parties to pay. None of us knew each other, we just all came in the restaurant around the same time and were sat at the same hibachi table. I don't know if this is common practice with this place/servers putting groups that are not together on one tab and then spitting it at the end to get the 18%gratuity and then also receiving additional tips from guest because we are unaware of the gratuity being added. We always leave 20%, but this night because we were deceived by our server it was 38%. Always check your tab prior to paying here, especially if you are seated at a hibachi table with other groups. If it's common practice for a whole hibachi table to be entered together even though all parties are separate and the tip being automatically included, they need to let guest know...
Read moreMy family and I have been to Bonzai a couple of times. Every time the food is amazing as well as the service expect today. During Mother’s Day our table was greeted by our server Austin. He explained the menu and so forth as the meal progressed we noticed others we’re getting there food before us. Our server went to the kitchen and apologized for the wait and gave us a shrimp and vegetable appetizer on the house or so I thought. As the rest of my family was getting there food I sat patiently waiting for mine. Austin noticed and went to the kitchen to check on my plate later he came out and said that the kitchen made a mistake and sent my plate to another table. At this point I was annoyed but our waiter was kind enough give me some soup while I waited. I finally got my plate 10 minutes later as my family and I were finishing our meal I asked Austin if he could refill our drinks I kid you not we sat there 7-8 minutes waiting for him at this point I proceeded to talk to the manager. I politely asked if we could speak in private. While I was talking to him I mentioned all the issues above and said if im paying 180+ for a six top. I expect the service to be decent and for them to be responsible the manager proceeded to poor us our drinks. However was was the final straw for me was when out ticket came through. The so called appetizer on the house was charged on the ticket 15$ for something I didn’t even order. They did correct it but this was just ridiculous as a fellow server my self I understand we all make mistakes but 3 in a row is unacceptable. This is my first 1star review in my life I just hope that out future visit the service is more attentive and...
