We ordered: ⢠Large Pepermint Oreo shake ⢠Large hot fudge Sunday no whipped cream ⢠Reg chocolate concrete with snickers w/ no whipped cream ⢠Reg Brownie concrete
They pulled us up from the window where we waited 10 minutes. When the guy came out with the order he said sorry for the wait that they had to make new Vanilla custard.. He also had no spoons or straws.
He also could not tell me which was the snicker concrete vs the brownie concrete. They both looked like cups of chocolate custard only. They looked exactly the same!
He just smiled and said he didn't know which was which. I told him that was a problem and I needed to speak to a manager.
The manager came out and points to one and said "oh that one is the brownie because there is hot fudge" - I saw no hot fudge and asked her where she saw it and she laughed and said "oh I thought I saw some.. But I know one is snickers and one is the brownie but the brownie should have whipped cream and a cherry so I'll talk to them about it."
So i ask her what are we suppose to do? Dig thru both until we can figure out which is which? I didn't come to Freddys for a treasure hunt to try to figure out which was which. - She was absolutely no help and didn't seem to care either.
We left only to find out that they was very little snickers in 1 cup and ZERO MIX INS in the other. No brownies at all! None! Just chocolate custard.
There was something wrong with every item we ordered.
⢠The pepermint oreo shake was made with chocolate ice cream when the photo clearly shows it was vanilla.
⢠The hot fudge Sunday had very little hot fudge. It was ridiculous how little it had.
⢠Both the concretes were either missing all mix ins or had very very little. And no one had any idea which was which.
What a disappointment for a new restaurant in our little town! I was so looking forward to Freddys and my first visit was a disaster filled with employees who could not care less.
I care though. Paying over $26 for custard and not getting anywhere close to what you were suppose to is absolutely unacceptable.
I'd love to speak with the main store manager for...
Read moreI ordered the Freddyâs patty melt. I took one bite and knew I had wasted my money. It was over salted and dripping in grease. The rye bread (in my opinion) doesnât go well with beef & onions. I took 2 bites and threw it out. Expensive for how terrible it was.
I have had a burger from Freddyâs and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. The fries are super thin and nothing special either. Freddyâs beef hot dogs are good. I DID enjoy my hot dog.
Freddyâs custard treats are good. I did enjoy my dessert. The gummi worms (Freddyâs Dirt ân Worms) were thrown out since they were hard and appeared to be old. This dessert consists of Cookies ân Creme with gummi worms. It was fair.
I wasnât impressed with Freddyâs beef patties. They are very very thin and nothing like the hamburgers I grew up with. (Freddyâs refers to them as âsteak burgersâ but the meat appears to be just plain old hamburger meat. They claim itâs caramelized in the center which definitely sounds strange! (Not at all the way we eat meat in Texas!) My guess is Fredddyâs originated in another state where people donât eat a lot of beef like we do here in Texas. (You can imagine my surprise when I learned Freddyâs originated in Kansas! You would expect Kansans to know how to do beef!)
In conclusion, Whataburger is still the best hamburger in town. By far. They know what a piece of hamburger meat should look like.
Leave the beef to Whataburger (a Texas tradition) and Freddyâs can do the beef hot dogs & custard desserts.
Caramelized âsteak burgersâ are very strange and...
Read moreman yâall REALLY try and drag businesses down to the ground because of yalls own incompetence. âthe burger was to thin and smallâ. IT LITERALLY says that freddyâs is a steak burger, (SMASHED BURGER) joint. what do you expect? itâs the restaurants fault you canât open you eyes and read or look at pictures? âthe fries were so thinâ freddyâs is known for their shoestring fries. THATS THEIR SIGNATURE. are yâall truly this dull? so youâre telling me because of your incompetence a business deserves less than a 4 star because you couldnât read signs, look up the menu, or ask questions? why go to a place where they are known for their signature SMASHED patty and SHOESTRING fries just to complain about it and leave a low rating? it makes businesses look bad because youâre an idi0t. i get if the food is bad, and it deserve a low rating but cmon seriously? also to add, the people in this town lack compassion and patience. with freddyâs being new to town, itâs been consistently flooded with people, therefore wait times are expected to be a little longer. common sense. donât eat here, and then complain about their SIGNATURE dishes that literally make them freddyâs. it makes you look m0ronic. also thereâs parking in the very back? itâs not that hard to drive around and...
