Tong's Garden — Restaurant in Key West

Didn't even order! I order from this place quit a bit. The usual phone operator that 100% of the time that takes my order was not there tonight, and he is great ( completely missed you tonight ). The problem, order my usual general saos chicken, but my rice has to be different because I cant eat pork, so I usually get fried rice with onion and egg with a 2$ surcharge, tonight was not the case. The phone operator Asking a lady in the back ground about my rice said to charge a 6$ surcharge, WHAT that is insane I said. And then he went back and spoke to her again and he cam back with 4$, I said nope I am good. So, I called Chinese next to Publix and what do you know, they only charged me the usual 2$ surcharge and of course I ordered from them. I do not mind paying the extra charge for my rice, since it is a special order, but I will not be robbed in the process, Definitely, when I ordered from this place every other week. I like their food, but the surcharge was ridiculous. Completely missed my usual phone operator. And I am sure the usual phone operator knows who this is because I do call all the time eggs onion fried rice. Very highly...

Food was good, but delivery driver was a creep. I paid my order with a card, gave driver 3$ cash and was going to put another 3$ on the card but driver literally followed my daughter up the stairs and started calling me cheap. Then he started speaking Chinese and called me cheap again. I literally signed the order and did not give him another tip. I’m alone with 2 girls and this man was being a creep to the point I was scared of him coming in my house. I called the Chinese place to report him and all the guy said that he apologizes and that he will all to driver. Unbelievable we are not even safe anymore, the company already charges $5 for delivery to my area. He would have gotten 6$ tip if he would have not follow my 11year old up my stairs calling me cheap and literal yelling in his language. Very upset, I told the company I will never order from them again, they should have refund me for this horrible...

Had just moved to apt. down the street from Tong's, and heard they had good food, prices, and portions. We've been living in the middle Keys for the last year where there was only one oreintal restaurant which was horrible all around. Not having unpacked any kitchen boxes, we had them deliver General Tao's Chicken (they also have it in Shrimp!). I talked with the manager & he advised me to order the dinnersize & let me substitute Veggie Rice for the White. It was So Great to taste some good oreintal food! My husband is a big eater, yet there was enough for 3 meals!!...
