Been going to this DQ for years, and I love it. Some complain that they don'thave burgers, but if that wasn't true I would've never found out how great their chicken is. I wracked up 1000s of pts in the app getting 6 piece baskets only to use them to get more. The BBQ sauce is great on the fries as well (gravy taste great also but didn't agree with me tbh). But I can't say enough about the chicken, the not dry but never soggy white meat is way better than anything KFC has, and in a completely different league than most fast food chicken options. All at a very reasonable price by today's standards. The blizzards are pretty good as well. I consider myself frugal (cheap), like I will almost never pay for a drink at a fast food joint, so to pay that much for ice cream when I can get a gallon at the grocery store is not in my character. Here's the thing though, they are better than anything cheap you can get by the gallon. Way better, and like all of them. The Heath is my favorite, the cotton candy was my go to when I didn't want anything heavy, the royal cheesecake is spectacular, and both types of Reece's are bomb as well. Service is pretty good too. Sometimes there is a bit of wait on the chicken baskets, but never egregiously so. One worker there in particular was my favorite. I think by my receipts that her name was "Puritee" or something along those lines. I never once saw her smile, but she was never rude, or even terse. All business, and when she was working stuff got out fast and accurate, while not skimping on the chicken (sometimes a 4 piece will become 5 or 6 becomes 7 when there are smaller pieces, and they always erred on the side of the customer to make sure the smaller pieces were adequate). She isn't the only one though, as I could tell positive stories about at least 3 others that work(ed?) there that I don't have space for. I'm finally moving out of this town and this is one of the only establishments still open that I will miss. For balance- the biggest downside to me is the way the drive through is setup. This is mostly because people coming in through the old 99c store lot don't properly enter the lot and flip around to get in line, and often block the way of people who are trying to get out that way since the alternative is a forced right onto Stockton Hill. Most the time it's not a big deal, but can be quite annoying...
Read moreYour "General Manager" Tyler was absolute atrocity to deal with. 1. He doesn't have the foresight to know how much food he has to prep to accommodate the work day. 2. He is unapologetic about not having the food item you want. 3. He doesn't tell you at the ordering box that he is out of said item so you can make an informed decision about whether or not you want that item. 4. He is obscenely rude, and downright vile when you call to complain about his behavior.
I suggest Kimber the "District Manager" reevaluate his position here at Dairy Queen in Kingman, because he seems like a piss poor excuse of not only a manager, but also a human being.
I intend to call corporate on Monday morning to further discuss this matter.
EDIT: I left a message for Dairy Queen Corporate through a message. My reference number is 20580115 if the District Manager would like to see my comments and concerns with...
Read moreOn 8/6 I went to the drive thru and ordered a Thin Mint Blizzard, I was told, "We don't have any." I then ordered a DQ Sandwich and was told, "We don't have those. They've been discontinued." I ordered a Sundae, that they had. I ordered an Orange Julius and was told, "We don't have and smoothie mix." By this time I was frustrated and told the girl to "cancel the order. You don't have the thin mint, the sandwiches or the orange Julius. That is 3 out of 4 items I ordered that you don't have." Her response, while yelling at me, "What?! Do you think it's my fault we don't have these things? My response, albeit louder than I needed to be, " not you personally. But your manager obviously doesn't know how to order properly." And she went off on me like nobody's business. "You can leave and never come back! Just leave. Bye b^'...She was still going as I...
