Emerald City Smoothie (Inside LA Fitness) — Restaurant in Kirkland

Do not come here! I went on a Sunday afternoon and they had only one staff member working who was very new. The guy in front of me decided to order for the entire VW dealership so that took forever and she had to check the recipe several times for each drink - even at one point putting ingredients in the blender and then dumping them out to start over. After it was finally my turn she couldn’t figure out how to get he points card to work so I couldn’t get my free smoothie. She said she would call a friend to ask since she is new - I chose to pay for it rather than waste any more time. Ten dollars and a very runny smoothie later - I am disappointed. She looked at the recipe multiple times and still got it wrong. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile or two to another REAL location. One that actually bothers to train their staff (not leave them to man the whole operation by themselves on a weekend) or at least schedule more than one person there. I’m hoping she didn’t screw up my points card after swiping it no less than 5 times to try to get it to work. It was a less than professional experience with her running around in booty shorts with her actual butt cheeks hanging out. Also, FYI they just got a “okay” rating for their food safety - that’s one above “needs improvement” which isn’t a great sign. For reference, my local gas station at least has a “good” rating so one above this establishment. I won’t ever be back and I hope whoever reads this chooses...

I had a very disappointing experience when ordering a smoothie today. I asked for a 24oz smoothie with two scoops of protein. The young lady who helped me made the drink and handed me the cup, but I noticed there was still a noticeable amount of smoothie left in the blender jar. Instead of serving the rest to me, she threw it away.

When I asked her why she discarded it—especially since I paid for a specific amount—she responded very rudely, saying she gave me 24oz and it wasn’t her problem. I calmly suggested that maybe she added too much water, which caused the smoothie to exceed the usual portion, and that it’s unfair to throw away something I paid for. She defensively claimed she knew exactly how much to add and insisted I was wrong.

Her tone and attitude were extremely unprofessional. I left feeling disrespected and cheated. If I’m paying for a specific amount and product, I expect to receive all of it—not be shorted or dismissed when I bring it up. I hope management can address this kind of customer service going forward.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday evening and was highly disappointed. I order the Guava Sunrise and from the first sip, I was hit with a taste of chemicals and fragrance. Absolutely disgusting and undrinkable. I had my drink remade for the Peach smoothie on the weight loss menu, and it had the same weird taste in the Guava Sunrise. The smell itself is nauseating. It tastes like a mixture of laundry detergent and highly processed ingredients, nothing about this is fruit or fresh. This location is inside of a LA Fitness and it’s very unsanitary. The counter is dirty and covered in dust. If you look behind the counter where the ingredients are, it’s dirty and messy. Avoid at all costs, literally the biggest waste of $8.
