DO NOT GO HERE. Itās only been 13 days since ownership changed and this place has completely gone down the toilet. The new owner is self absorbed to the point he changed the name of this cafe to be after him. His name is Arthur but he goes by āArtā.. who screams unprofessionalism & lacks proper guest service skills. Look at his responses to poor reviews, bashing previous employees & speaking bad of the previous owner who everyone loved. Before I went to write my review, I see that he responded to anotherās review and called them petty. That is not the professional way to respond to oneās review.. Iām shocked. But this review is more about the bigger blonde young woman that served me. I ordered the most simple drink, it was a 12 oz latteā¦. when I say it was the most disgusting and bitter latte Iāve ever had in my 27 years of living, I canāt make this up. When I walked in she was standing behind the counter talking to another employee, looked at me, smirked, and went back to talking to them for a good minute before saying āsorry what can I get for you?ā.. and donāt even ask about their hygiene & food/drink handling practices. I watched as she grabbed my cup from the inside with her fingers all over without washing hands after touching the payment screen. I was horrified. This place has turned to be so mediocre. Please SAVE your money and go to 203° in Totem Lake or Zoka in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visit often this coffee shop and found the atmosphere to be quite lovelyāit's pet-friendly, which is a big plus, and the owner is genuinely a nice guy who creates a welcoming environment. However, I believe there is room for improvement, particularly when it comes to the food offerings.
While the coffee itself is enjoyable, I would love to see a more diverse breakfast menu that features a greater variety of delicious options. As a coffee lover, I appreciate a good brew, but I also look for accompanying food that complements my experience. Expanding the breakfast selection could really enhance the overall appeal of the cafe.
On a brighter note, most of the staff members are friendly and attentive, which adds to the warmth of the place. However, I had a rather off-putting experience with one particular barista, who I believe is one of the older members of the team. Unfortunately, her attitude seemed less than welcoming. At times, she appeared to give a forced smile, and I noticed her rolling her eyes during interactions. This behavior created an uncomfortable vibe, which stood out against the otherwise friendly atmosphere.
Overall, I truly enjoy the vibe of this coffee shop and appreciate its potential. With an expanded menu and some attention to staff demeanor, particularly with the barista's attitude, I believe this place could become a go-to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo this particular location has changed hands a few times. A few years ago, it was urban COFFEE lounge. They had fantastic coffee, great staff and was an awesome place to go. It later became Visible coffee. The coffee was not as good but decent. Now it has become art of coffee. Unfortunately the coffee from att of coffee is very low quality coffee, extremely bitter. Iāve tried the drip, cortado and latte, and I would definitely Not have it again. Iāve been around coffee roasters in Australia and I know as a coffee taster the quality of bean, and roasting needed for a high quality coffee. I hope we can bring back some good coffee again. We need more places with smooth coffee.
So Iām just going to add to my first review here and Iāve bumped into many people that used to go to visible and itās consistent. Theyāre all going to the competitors or other boutique coffee because the coffee is extremely dark. Itās burnt, quality is much lower overall from service to food, and now I understand why the other local coffee places are extremely busy since visible left. so all I can say is I hope we can bring back what was workingā¦as the good old adage says,if it aināt broke, donāt fix it. so for that location to be a happy place again we just need to go back...
