Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Kyle

I didn’t expect much from after reading previous reviews so it has taken us a year to try this place out. I went inside to scope it out and was pleasantly greeted. Everything looked clean so I went back to the car to summon my husband in. Everything was beyond my expectations. Hot pizzas were continuously brought out. We were told that if we don’t see what we want, let them know and they will prepare it. We are seniors and don’t eat much so we just don’t usually bother with buffets. I enjoyed the salad, some pizza, garlic bread and even a bite of dessert. I didn’t have room to try the soup or pasta. Where else can you go for a $8.99 lunch that includes salad, soup, entree and dessert? I watched the employees work steady and pleasantly refilling the salad bar etc. Replace pizza with fresh. Unlike the reviews I read, we watched them put out fresh pizza, and if there was a slice or two left on a pizza pan, they pulled it from the line and put a fresh one in its place. We were there at 12:30 and it was a good experience. A large drink was $2.69 (I just got water) but my husband enjoyed the fresh brewed tea. For those of you, that had a bad experience, I suggest you try it again. Maybe it was the time of day you were here? Yes, I gave five stars for service. Not because they brought the food to my table, or refreshed my drink, or even clean my table, that’s all on you, but they kept the food line, clean and filled, and they were very pleasant. I want to be very clearly, had a bad experience at night. I normally go to cici during the day! A very nice and professional Gentleman with a pony tail always has the location clean , fresh pizza and very very polite! The night I went there was a short lady at the register, she didn’t great out party just what can I get yall! Normally I hear hi welcome to Cicis! She was very rude. And she needs more training in customer service. The pizza on the bar was old and hard. It had enough customers inside to keep a decent rotation but we had to sit and wait almost 10mins for just 1 pizza and if you didn’t run over folks u wouldn’t get fresh slice! I said ok let me get a salad while I wait , I observed the cashier cleaning and she sprays glass/ window cleaner over the salad and so immediately I m like ok does she not know that it will get everywhere as the spray mists and splashes. Not getting salad now! I kept asking is some more pizza coming up yea should be 2to 3 mins every time it was 7to 10 mins. I don’t expect perfection but the lack of awareness on this shift I will never return at night! So my wife and I have a service dog and we noticed a table that was not gonna bother anybody and we asked the cashier if she wouldn’t mind wiping it off because there is previous people that have ate there and left their plates and trash. she obliged by doing that happily. As she was cleaning the table, the manager and assistant manager were sitting at a table across, the manager says to her very snarkily” did that customer asked specifically for that table” to it she replied yes that’s why I’m cleaning it. The manager then said it is a yes sir or no, sir question. My wife over hears this and snaps back at the manager saying not only is she doing it for me but she’s going above and beyond. We did not appreciate nor believe it was very professional or respectful the way the manager was treating his staff. Once we sat down and started eating, the manager went back behind the counter.
