I decided to really pig out here. This is how everything I ordered ranks up against all other Chinese food I've had in Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and NYC.

Chicken Lo mein: 9.5/10 Honestly it is the best I've had. I liked that they used thick noodles, and it wasn't too greasy. The flavors all blended together beautifully.

Corn Nuggets: 9/10 Delicious. If anything, they may be a little too sweet. (But I tend to prefer less sweet than other people do.)

Steamed Dumplings: 8/10 Pretty freaking good, and I'm not even a big dumplings fan.

Egg Drop Soup: 5/10 it was good but not particularly impressive. No crispy noodles, in case you were wondering. My toddler loved it though.

Egg Rolls: 6/10 They are crispy on the outside and really soft/mushy on the inside (which is not my preference). If you like that, however, then these may be the best you've had, because they are still very good. The sweet and sour sauce gets a 10/10! I had to stop myself from eating it straight. It has a genuine flavor (it isn't syrupy like some sweet and sour sauces) and it wasn't too sweet.

Fried Avacado: 8/10 Basically, half an Avacado heated up with crab and orange sauce. Carrots were there as a garnish.

Chicken Nuggets: 8/10 I wouldn't ruin my diet for them, but they are quite good! :) they are fried the same way most Chinese restaurants fry their chicken (not like the way McDonald's or Wendy's would do it)

French Fries: 4.5/10 A little floppy and not salted or seasoned.

Fortune Cookies: 10/10 The fortunes were cute and the cookie was good!

Thank you guys!

(Gotta say, some of the guys who worked there were pretty cute... Ladies, be ready.

Also... would love it if you started offering fried...

I’ve been coming here since I moved here, and I have always enjoyed it. The prices are great, the food is delicious, the portions are huge, and both the to-go and in-store experiences have been just fine. That is until today. Today, I found a piece of metal in my food. This was a sharp piece of metal, too. How did I find it? Because I was stabbed in the tongue and the inside of my cheek, and I had to pick it out.

However, I think the worst part was not just that I was violated by metal scraps, but rather how they treated the situation. At first it was fine, they remade the food even though they were a bit awkward about it, and it was delicious. However, no one approached me or even offered so much as an apology, and I suspected that the manager hadn’t been told. When we asked about this, and if they were going to do anything, we found out the truth: they hadn’t. Eventually, the owner came over and was a bit appalled at offering us free food, telling me that he had “remade the food.” As if I’m going to keep eating from a plate that had demonstrated to have metal in it. He did finally concede to offering a free meal, but he didn’t want to, and the waiter wasn’t having any of it, either.

So, all-in-all I doubt I will ever come here, again. A shame, because the food is good when it’s metal-free, but the combined customer service and metal threat is not worth it.

Update: true to my word, I never went back. I no longer live in Kyle, so there’s no chance I shall ever risk my mouth here. I really didn’t want free food, I just wanted some acknowledgment of the severity of their transgressions. They refused to give even something...

This used to be my family's favorite place to eat. We'd eat in or order it to go several times a month. January 6 2019, the short, bald manager and a young waitress provided us with the most horrible experience in a restaurant, EVER! First I was told the chicken and vegetables that came with lo mein noodles is really chicken and carrots and if I wanted other vegetables it would be $2 more. This took more than 5 minutes with the waitress going back and forth because she wasn't sure about anything. The waitress asked my daughter what kind of soup she wanted and my daughter said she didn't want soup. We ate and no one came to give us refills and there were only 4-5 parties so it wasn't busy. The bill came and I noticed we were overcharged. The manager said my daughter said no soup so she got dinner plate?! My son who ordered the same thing didn't get asked if he wanted soup but was still charged for dinner?! I was told I ordered from front of menu so mine was dinner too?! The manager only made excuses...it was busy but I pointed out the few parties in the restaurant. I told him the waitress should've informed us if we don't have soup we'll be charged for dinner. Then he went to cash register and he and young guy started talking about all the customers including us. Overpriced, horrible service and if you're in a booth look up and you'll probably eat covering your food after you see all the dust! We will NEVER eat here again. A great restaurant has great food, great service and reasonable prices...this place has decent food but with horrible service and being overcharged I'd rather eat at Panda Express across...

This review is long overdue, but it comes with deep gratitude. While planning my mother’s 60th birthday party from out of state, I had no idea where to start in finding a Chinese restaurant to cater the event. After calling several places in the Kyle area, I found that while they were available, their pricing was far beyond over our budget. Koy was honestly the last call I made on a whim. I left a message, and was soon contacted by Jun. From the very beginning, Jun’s kindness, professionalism, and clear communication stood out. He offered us an incredible price that not only fit within our budget but also allowed us to provide an even greater variety of food for our guests. Planning such an important event from afar could have been stressful, but Jun went above and beyond to ensure the entire process was seamless. His efforts gave us so much peace of mind. When I flew in, I even went directly from the airport to the restaurant to make payment, and Jun’s warmth in person matched every interaction we had before. On the day of the event, delivery was right on time, and the food was a highlight of the celebration. Guests couldn’t stop complimenting how delicious everything was, and it truly made my mother’s milestone birthday all the more special. I am so grateful to Jun and Koy Restaurant for their exceptional service, generosity, and genuine care. They turned what could have been a stressful long-distance arrangement into a wonderful experience, and I will always remember the role they played in making my mother’s birthday unforgettable

We have been looking for good Chinese food since we moved to Texas. We were in Kyle for something else, so we thought we would give Koy a try. It was my spouse, myself, my son, and his spouse, along with their 2 children under 2. We ordered General Tso's, moo goo gai pan, cury chicken, chicken fried rice, and cream cheese rangoon. Moo goo gai pan-sauce was very good. Had lots of vegetables and chicken was very tender. Cury chicken - really good and had great flavor and lots of veggies. Chicken fried rice - was ok. Not the best I've ever had but had a weird taste to it. Cremcheese Rangoon - was plain and flavorless. Without the duck sauce, it wasn't worth eating. General Tso's - the best we have had since moving to Texas. Crispy outside with very tender chicken on the inside. The sauce had a nice kick. So, now to the reason we won't be back. As I mentioned before, we had four adults and 2 babies under two. When we got our bill, we were both charged a large party fee. When we went to pay, I asked why, and the response was..you had 6 people. Seriously! We had two children that ate nothing and needing nothing from you. They did take the fee off once I questioned him. We are generally big tippers. Today, we weren't.
