I'm sick and tired of having to constantly argue with employees about what is and isn't on sale! This issue has persisted since this store opened. Someone needs to teach employees how to read and decipher the weekly add or you need to dumb it down. One example, "ALL" items labeled paper studio seems to confuse them when right after you list examples of such items. Cashier argued that it was only PAPER things that were on sale when I had an embellishment. Or maybe they don't know what an embellishment is! I had to pull up the website just to show them and with spotty service, not always easy. I go during my lunch break to avoid after work traffic but it's becoming an issue to clock in late from work because of the extra wasted time then what I saved. I never had these issues when going to SM 12 miles away! Worst HL so far. I'm going to switch to Amazon. At least they'll bring my craft items to me.
Forward a year later. HL, take a page from PetSmart! 😡 If there are more than three customers in line, let alone 5, they open up another line briefly. They don't just leave ONE line open for 3 customers that then became 5 and then 8 in a matter of minutes. Especially when the ONE cashier is experiencing issues. At least it was that way when I used to work there. 🤨 They could now be just as bad as y'all. You need better management that can asses these things rather than wait until there's 8 people, by my count, in line. if it wasn't because I needed the items I purchased i would have left everything behind and walked out. then when they FINALLY called over two other cashiers, i was second in line and was still second in line when I switched lines and somehow the 6 people behind me all managed to get out before me. 🤨 when the person in front had a handful of items.
to make things worse, i had a 2 item package and the cashier is trying to tell me they're individual items that were not taken out of the package. i had to rip it out of her hands so i could point out where it says SET OF 2! Which was on sale mind you where I'd calculated about 11 dollars total only to be told 18. so i asked how it's 18 when one item is on sale and the other two were a few bucks. so adjusted accordingly but clearly after a year since my previous review they still don't know what's on sale and they're not bothering to check!!! At this point, if I could give 0 stars I would because clearly there's no improvement. I'll continue to stick to Amazon. it was just faster going locally but not worth the trouble. would rather pay more for overnight delivery than deal with subpar management and customer service ESPECIALLY when management is watching the...

The store manager is completely incapable of running that store and has no clue what she is doing. She kept blaming others for her mistakes, not calling me back, she lied about what the corporate office had told her, etc.
I had dropped off a piece of art to be put on a frame, I was told this would take two weeks. After 2 weeks, i went to pick up my art. They told me the tool had not shown up yet, and they forgot to call me. They said they wanted two more weeks again. When i got there, they told me the tool just got in that morning, and it would be two weeks to one month longer to finish the painting..
When I asked for the manager, they told me they would get it done today. I told them not to rush, and if they needed a couple more days, it would be okay. They called me two hours later, saying it was ready - When I picked the painting up, it was crooked on the frame - I said something to them about it, they told me it was the art.
I came home after, and tried to call the manager wouldn't call me. I then talked to corporate over the phone. Corporate told me it was her decision to an additional refund due to the time wasted and HAD to fix it, and it was not their decision but the manages - but regardless they had to fix tbe painting.
When I asked the manager what she would do, she said it was a corporate decision. After all of this, she decided she wasn't gonna fix it.
Thank God corporate customer service is amazing( Dana). They got a different store (San Marco) that was ran by a capable manager with capable staff that takes pride in the work they do for Hobbie Lobby to fix what she would not do or could not do right in the...
Read moreI love the one star review someone left about constantly being late for work because they're using too much time arguing about what's on sale.. 1. I've never in my 25 years of shopping with Hobby Lobby experienced this issue to this degree. 2. Not everything is included in sale, such as yellow sticker items - they are marked lowest price to begin with and are excluded from promotion. 3. It is your responsibility to return to work on time. I can't even believe that you've returned late to work, on multiple occasions, because you're busy arguing at a craft store. Also, if you show up anywhere
