Came here late after school one night as I hadn't eaten dinner and was starving. I was trying to think of the most semi-healthy place to grab dinner for me and my hubby and thought of popeyes because of their blackened chicken strips.
It's around 9 o'clock at night and there is a line in the drive-thru. As I pull up to look at the menu, I am asked what I would like to order. They have a LARGE poster advertising 2 can eat for $10 which comes with 5 chicken strips and 2 small sides and a few biscuits. This was perfect for me and my husband as it was late and we didn't want anything too heavy.
I order the 2 for 10 combo with blackened strips and red beans and rice and mashed potatoes for the sides. I also asked for ranch and bbq dipping sauce. He repeats the order and tells me to pull up to the window for the total.
I pull up to the window and he says the total is $17 and some change. Hmm, that doesn't add up. I said, that's for the 2 for $10 combo? He said the sides were extra. I said, "The menu has a large sign that says 2 can eat for $10 and it includes 2 small sides and biscuits". He says, hold on and closes the window. Please note that I'm super polite and remaining calm during this as I do not like to escalate situations.
He then opens the window and says, "Ok, now your total is $22".
"What? Why?" I ask.
He closes the window again and turns to a coworker. The other coworker asks me what I ordered and I tell him the 2 for $10 combo and tell him what had just happened. He says that he will fix it and doesn't know how the other guy screwed up my order. I mention to this guy that I would like blackened strips and he says okay.
Then I pull around the building and wait about 10 minutes for my order. The guy delivering the food walks past my car to the car behind them and loudly says, "Did you order the 2 for $10 with blackened strips?".
Face palm right to my face! They say no and then he walks back towards my car. Asks me if I ordered it and I say yes. At this point I'm still starving and frustrated now. I open the box and to my horror they gave me regular breaded chicken strips 😱 without any dipping sauce 😭
Long story summarized, popeyes needs to work on training their employees on providing better service. I am more than just a transaction, I'm a human being. Honestly, I don't think I would ever come back here or recommend...
Read moreEvery time I visit this location. They always forget something and the food is dry. My fiancé took my son to pick up his usual chicken sandwich tea and fries. When he got to the window the cashier handed him the food and like most people he checked to make sure everything was in the bag! We have had food missing many time from this location that we had to inconveniently pick up ourselves. When she passed the bag she said here and when he responded that he want to look in the bag she closed the window and keeper his card! He honked the horn, like many of us have done for his card and another young lady answered him and gave him his card. When he got home he realized the drink was missing and the chicken was dry. He called back up to the store and the person that was at the window answered the call and called him rude for honking the horn! THAT IS NOT RUDE! What is RUDE IS NOT OFFERING THE CUSTOMER WHAT THEY PAID FOR! As a consumer YOU have the right to check your order while you received it. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE comes with BEING PATIENT and NOT making the customer feel RUSHED! I called the store to speak to the manager JUSTIN OR JESSE and he told me that my fiancé was rude, and that every time he visits that store he is rude. I told him that my fiancé lives in North Carolina and could not possibly be him being rude each time. What’s rude is that the store manager racial profiled my fiancé and assumed that he is RUDE each time he comes there. Which he has ONLY BEEN THERE 2 times!!! This is completely unacceptable down right rude and his assumption has made me feel uncomfortable with every visiting that location again. You can NOT PLACE A PERSON IN A CATEGORY BASED ON their skin, color, race or ethnicity! I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB, consumer affairs, their corporate office and I will never visit that...
Read moreWe had a taste for fried chicken and biscuits. So we went to the KYLE, TX, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. I asked the young lady taking the order if we could get more than the 5-piece Strips, she offered a deal on a 9-piece regular strips special, but asked if it was OK for us to wait for about 10 minutes to prepare them fresh. We agreed. We were asked to pull around to the door to receive our order, which we did.
About 8 minutes later, Bryan came RUNNING OUT OF THE DOOR, customer's credit card in hand, and RAN across a grassed area to the lot next door (40 yards or so), and presented the customer with the abandoned credit card! What Great customer service! In running to the other customer, his nametag came loose from his shirt, and he lost it in the grass. I stopped him and told him that he dropped something, and described where I witnessed that aspect of the incident. When he successfully retrieved his nametag, HE THANKED ME FOR HELPING HIM OUT, referring to me as "awesome!" I explained to him that his actions and attitude were stellar regarding customer service.
Also, Bryan then confirmed our order, and expedited getting our food to us (the 9-piece regular strips with 6 biscuits). The food was excellent. But MORE to the POINT, YOU HAVE A GREAT TEAM that works at this Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Kyle, TX, on Sunday Evening, February 28, 2021, and our time of service was just before 9:00 p.m. CST. I'm already a fan of your food, but the level of customer service was so noteworthy, I had to provide this verbal/written...
