Long John Silver's | KFC — Restaurant in Kyle

Walked into their lobby around 8:30 for some LJS, the guy at the counter told me they were filtering and would be a 40 minute wait. I tried to get kfc, he said it would be 30 minutes. I expressed my disappointment but said I’d come back. I return at 9:30 and ask for some food only to be told they’re closed. It was very obvious they started to preclose over an hour early and were hoping the wait time would deter me from ordering and when I returned they didn’t want to help me or care about the fact that they told me to drive back knowing full well I wasn’t going to get any service. I wasn’t going to leave empty handed so I asked what they could offer, he said three pieces of fish and some hush puppies. These things tasted old, ridiculously old. I’m certain they fry up some items and sit on them for the last hour, or two, in case orders come in while they close up shop. I also work in food and I understand wanting to get a head start and being tired after a long day but this was pathetic. None of these people deserve to be in this industry, they were apathetic, rude, lazy, and just don’t care. That whole experience has put me off...

I went to Long John's drive through before noon on Saturday. I asked for the 10 pieces of fish. The worker kept saying something, and it was hard to understand her. I repeated 10 fish and 2 pot pies. Finally, I get to the window and hand over card. At no point does she repeat my order. She was about to close the window when I asked for the receipt. I get home to find no fish instead shrimp and only one pot pie... granted she only charged me one. I called the restaurant, she said that she would replace, and I would have to pay for the second pot pie since she didn't charged me for it. I get there 30 minutes later. She is adamant that she repeated my order before and after I got to the window. I said that I kept saying fish. After a few minutes of this she told that I need to turn in the shrimp in. She never said that on the phone. At this point I am very frustrated, and I wasn't going to go home and waste another hour. I will never go to Kyle's Long John's. This location is terrible! I spent over $30 on lunch for me and my son. It took me 10 minutes to get home to try to eat the worst food imaginable, I threw it all in the trash! The service was fast, too fast, you would think that the lady is to old to be taking anything for energy, she was going so fast that I couldn't even think. Then to get it home to eat, nope....hushpuppies were hard as a rock, the batter was so hard that it came off in pieces, so you just had a soft oil flavored ball of whatever. There e as 10, yes 10 old , cold, stale fries on all 3 of my orders ( I counted them) the chicken was cold and hard as a rock. The shrimp was something, I have no idea what it was, and the clams....who knows what they were....pebbles maybe? Don't waste your money here, it's the worst place...
