Handel's comes to La Quinta! This is an ice cream store, plan and simple. Step up to the window order and they hand you ice cream, in a cone, in a cup, with a spoon or a straw. It's simple and delicious. As many flavors as you can imagine. No fancy mixing, or preparation, just good homemade ice cream. Located on Hwy 111 across from Costco in the center with the Goodwill. We are particularly fond of their milk shakes, and the variety of flavors. Thick, creamy, cold. No whip. Just a cup and a straw. Not cheap by a long shot, but then again what is these days? Same thing with the ice cream, not fancy, just delicious. This is a throwback to an earlier world. It's about the product not the delivery. There is a drive thru, it snakes around the building and I didn't even notice it until we were driving away. There is also a sign announcing on line order pick up available. It is a large facility, but it has to be with all the ice cream inside. There is no public area in the building. The inside is for ice cream and staff. You are served at the window. They do have a small patio, covered. A few large outdoor tables. A little shade and misters. You know a place to sit if you like. This is the 4th or 5th one in the valley, so goodness in near. Low marks on atmosphere, there really isn't any at all. On service, its ok but will not blind you with speed or friendliness.

We had such a great experience here! Miranda helped us out and was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. She definitely made the whole visit feel extra special. Her friendliness really stood out and made a big difference. I ended up getting the horchata shake, and let me just say … it was absolutely to die for. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, it’s one of the best shakes I’ve ever had. You can really tell they put care into their ingredients and flavors. With the intense Palm Desert heat, these ice creams and shakes aren’t just a treat, they’re a lifesaver. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in town! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing service and even better ice cream.

Ordered a banana split without pineapple the kid walked bye and it was covered in pineapple while the girl looked at corner of her eye at me smiling the guy went to the back and this was my banana split! Not even sure what this is honestly. 7:30pm 1/26/2025 almost $40 for ice cream 😮 disappointed honestly this has been our spot for ice cream but if we go again it will be a different location.

The ice cream is sooo delicious and fresh and the servers are always friendly. My family has tried several different flavors and they are all a hit (especially orange cream). My only wish was that they had smaller portions. The small is huge! In the desert, and especially in summer, once you get left overs home they are a puddle. Portion size has stopped us from going recently. We wanted it, but don’t want to overindulge and for the price, it’s painful to toss...
