I've now been here several times. Not the best but also not the worst in flavor and variety that I've had. Fulfills my Ramen fix and being 2 hours from k Town in la, it's not bad. Servers are usually very friendly. I should say server because I usually get the same girl but my last visit she was not there. The girl with all the cool t shirts is my usual but the last time, she was not there and it was one of the others.
I don't really like sitting in the middle at the tables. I just feel like I'm in a school cafeteria sitting there and it's not exactly comfortable. The seats are wooden and not padded. I saw a booth open but it had dirty dishes on it from a previous guest. The girls weren't doing anything and I guess no one wanted to clean it off because those dirty dishes were just sitting there. I specifically asked since it was the only booth open. The girl told me she "would have to clean it." And rolled her eyes. I'm sorry, I would just like to sit in a comfortable place while I spend money to eat. The only place I somewhat felt comfortable not in a booth was ironically right next to that booth and I kid you not, just after sitting, another guy came in by himself behind me and she cleaned the booth right off for him. I was like, you got to be kidding me. If that wasn't bad enough, there were these two girls with a few kids at one booth that had finished their food and were just hanging out. The kids were absolutely horribly behaved... running around screaming and talking back to their mom. Then another booth opened up right behind them and the girl cleaned it off right away. The kids started jumping all over that booth and the mothers did nothing. The servers also did nothing. They weren't even eating. It was such a bad experience overall. This is where a manager needs to ask them to leave. The restaurant business can be tough sometimes and there will be times that you have to put your foot down and take the bad impression from one guest to appease the restaurant full of other guest because I could clearly see the other guests were unhappy with the commotion these girls were causing.
Food was decent. Much better than other sushi places nearby that I've tried but this place needs a manager to delegate problems. I was coming here once a week and everything is great when there's no problems but the minute there was, it left a really bad taste in my mouth, pun intended. Until they get some structure and a little discipline in the front of the house, I'll find other...
Read moreHubby and I came here to try them out. I ordered ebi fry, piano crusted shrimp for appetizer. Tried the Strawberry Galaxy, strawberry syrup, Sprite, and flower tea. For entree I got the chicken karaage bowl and he got the Tonkotsu Ramen. Dessert was vanilla mochi and green tea mochi. The shrimp was nice and crispy and a decent size. We asked to make the Galaxy less sweet, so it was less strawberry in it but still very flavorful and the tea was enjoyable in it. My chicken bowl had a yummy spicy mayo with it that really enhanced the chickens flavor. The chicken was crispy and hot from the fire and not greasy. The ramen was good but the broth didn't taste as rich as the ones we are used to in Japanese Town in LA. Hubby definitely had to order extra noodles with it as he's used to the larger bowls. Mochi was good and we loved his they cut them into 4, less messy to eat. The place has decent seating and was very clean and a pleasant atmosphere. The servers were friendly and checked back often. We will definitely return when we are...
Read moreFirst off, the food was really good. The employees were doing the best they could. And we're in the middle of a global pandemic. But! They just are not set up for takeout. We ordered, and were given a time for pickup. A 30 minute window. I arrived at the early side of that window, not minding waiting. But there were already lots of people waiting, and complaining. I received a text saying my order was ready! It wasn't. I ended up waiting nearly an hour. Close to two hours after initially placing order. Maybe I already knew that ramen is not good for takeout. I just didn't realize how bad. The one employee working front of house was very apologetic, and had a wonderful attitude. She definitely diffused a couple other employees from getting too hostile. And from what I could see, the kitchen were working their butts off. Just business model is not set up for take out. Dine in. I'm sure...
